Is Treasure Trooper (TreasureTrooper.com) A Scam?

Treasure Trooper is very much like FusionCash.com where you get paid to complete various offers. Here’s how it works. You sign up for a free account with TreasureTrooper.com where you’re able to log in and select offers of interest to you. The offers can be totally free, paid or risk free trials. Risk free trials means that you sign up for an offer using your credit card. But you’re not charged until you’ve finished your trial period which can be 7 or 30 days. TreasureTrooper.com pays you for doing any of these offers. But from my experience the risk free trials will always pay the most because Treasure Trooper is paid more money for referring you to this offer.

This brings me to my next point. How can Treasure Trooper afford to pay you to try offers?

What is this?
  • The advertisers above keep this site free & food on my table.
  • But their inclusion on this site IS NOT a personal endorsement!
  • Always do your research using our Scam Video.

Well all companies are looking for new customers or prospects. So what they’ll do is pay commissions to companies like Treasure Trooper.com to find them these prospects or customers. So what TreasureTrooper.com has done is decided to give you some of the commissions they earn. (How nice of them!)  So let’s say a company like Netflix.com is paying them $20 to get a prospect to do a trial of their DVD by mail service, TreasureTrooper.com might pay you $10 for trying the Netflix offer.

They keep track of all the offers you do on their website and tally up all the money you’ve earned for doing various offers. You then get paid at the end of the month for the total of your offers for the prior month and for any referrals you send if you choose to do so (which you should!).

And that’s pretty much how it works folks.

The reason why sites like TreasureTrooper.com may be considered a scam is that you need to be very organized so that you can keep track of what offers you do and which ones are trial offers so you know when to cancel them if you’re no longer interested. Most people aren’t and they end losing the money they make.

So let’s use the Netflix example, Let’s say you’ve tried the service and TreasureTrooper.com pays you $10 and you decided that you weren’t really interested in continuing the Netflix service but forgot to cancel it. Netflix would then charge you $10 for next month’s DVDs and now you’ve pretty much lost money. So I think this is where people may think a company like TreasureTrooper.com is a scam!

But they’re not. They keep their end of the bargain up by paying you as promised but they’re not responsible if you’re not organized in terms of keeping track of what offers you do and don’t cancel. Either way they make their money. But if you want to make yours then you need to stay organized.

I’ve participate in programs like TreasureTrooper.com and made a few hundred bucks which was nice. But I was very organized. So I don’t think TreasureTrooper.com is scam at all. You can definitely make money. But just be aware of the pitfalls. Like any program, it has its flaws but you can in-fact make money and that’s the bottom line! Hope you enjoy this review and make your own decision about TreasureTrooper.com. If you’re a member I’d love to hear your feedback about it.

But they pay every month and Gptreasure is paying in 24-48 hours! I’m not using them because it’s better to use a website that pays instantly.

It’s a “comfort” for users to pay monthly, as it gives them a feeling of making a large amount of money in one month, instead of looking at checks/PayPal transactions for like 4 bucks or something little and add up to the same.

Now, this, although it’s equivalent, it makes them “feel better”, which will lead them to continuing memberships.

Well before I actually checked it out 2 years ago I thought (foolishly) that Treasure Trooper was a scam, just like most ways to make extra cash online seemed to be. But as I said that was before I checked it out and joined and now all I can say is that TT is one of the most legit sites on the web.
If you have ever been told that the website treasuretrooper.com is a scam then you can be 99% assured of 1 thing and possibly a 2nd…
    1. the person flaming on TreasureTrooper Doesn’t Know What They Are Talking About. Because if they had actually checked it out properly they would see it is legit and Treasure Trooper Does Pay its Members real money and Always ON TIME!
    2. that person flaming on Treasure Trooper likely got caught trying to scam/cheat TT as a result of their own actions. Now they need to blame someone, anyone but not themselves, of course.

If you don’t know what Treasure Trooper is (or GPT sites in general) I can sum it up for you really simple…
There are several ways to make cash with TT and here are a few.
    1. Completing Incentive Offers
many companies pay affiliates to bring them new visitors. Treasure Trooper (an affiliate) simply passes some of that Incentive off back to you as a reward for trying out something you already would want to check out anyway.
    2. Completing surveys
Many companies, big and small, need your opinion and they pay affiliates to find people to take the surveys used to collect that info. Treasure Trooper simply rewards you for taking the time to participate in the surveys.
    3. Cash Back Shopping
many companies, from Apple iTunes store to Wal-Mart, pay affiliates to bring them sales. Treasure Trooper gives you that cash back for doing your shopping through their site.

1.2.3., is that it ? is that all there is to Treasure Trooper? No! there is a heck of a lot more! Everything from contests and games to bonus prizes and much much more. All of which can put cash into your pocket.

Treasure Trooper the most reliable and the original GPT site there is. As I said I’ve been a member since 2007 & with over $2,000 earned & paid to me plus lots of fun times later I’ll be a member of TT for a long time to come.

If you join Treasure Trooper be sure you check out their forums http://forum.treasuretroopr.com and the helpful tip and guide sites… created by it’s members.

It’s very easy to make money with TT but as with anything you have to take a moment to learn how to do it right.
If you are new to GPT sites the one important and thing is you have to do is follow the advice of long time members and the guides/tips created/given by them.

    Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your comments. Obviously you’re doing well with Treasure Trooper and that’s great to hear! But I think you’re over simplifying why folks may not like treasure trooper.
I’ve seen work at home programs where the participant did absolutely nothing wrong and had their account canceled and payment forfeited. Yes some of the situations you mentioned have occurred.
But they’re definitely not the only reasons. With that said I’ve yet to find any work at home opportunity where folks didn’t have a complaint. But that tends to be the case for any company doing business for a while.
If you do your research on a Microsoft, Jetblue, etc, you’ll find your fair share of complaints. But it doesn’t necessarily mean these companies are scams or the people filling the complaints are liars or lazy. So that’s something
for folks to keep in mind.

When I joined TT I was a little bit aprehensive about it. For a whole month I did few of the free offers and surveys. When I recieved my first check for more than $40 I knew it was a legit site.
Now I do all kind of offers as long as I’m interested in the product. I agree that you have to be organized when you are doing the trail offers, but it is common sense if you are trying something is because in the first place you want it and you are given the opportunity to try it for free and if you don’t like it then cancel it.And that’s why you have to keep record of every trial offer you do.

    Hi Ayla,

Thanks for sharing your experience. Obviously I totally agree with your advice and assessment of these type of opportunities. I think the main reason get paid to try offers get a bad rep is because people aren’t being organized and doing trial offers they don’t really have an interest for. That’s a receipe for disaster and losing money. But you and I are proof that it can work if you do follow some of the simple rules you’ve mentioned.

    Thanks again.

Treasure trooper is by far the best GPT website out on the market. TT has the best offer approval and the shortest approval time, and all the surveys that they make available to you really helps you roll in the dough, take the advice of a long time member.

I love TT. I have had a lot of success on their site, cashing in over $1200 in the last two years. I really enjoy their surveys, as you can make a pretty penny from those each month. If you use the forum help section, you can find different ways to try to maximize your earnings. I also like the little mini games they offer you as reward for completing things on there. The incentives are awesome, and I have a lot of fun earning extra cash on there. That is what it’s all about for me… fun and money :)

TT is great i have been paid nearly $2000 and it has become a great supplemental income while I have been in colleger. I have never had any issues that were not taken care of right away and i love it. It is defintely worth investing your time here and there because it is legit.

I agree with all of the guys above. I joined 2 months ago and have made 500 dollars so far. It is really legit and I greatly enjoy it. Not only is it paying well, but it’s fun too! I have made great friends there as well. Beware though, it’s addicting! :)

I was a little bit nervous about joining Treasure Trooper at first, too, but I quickly realized that it was a legit website after I received my first check. I’ve been a member of the site now for over two years, and I love it! It’s a great way to make extra spending money each month, and it’s fun. You do have to keep track of the offers that you complete, but that’s not hard to do. If someone has trouble remembering what offers they’ve completed, I would suggest that they keep track of them in a notebook or keep a list them in Microsoft Excel. I would recommend Treasure Trooper to anyone!

I joined Treasure Trooper a couple of years ago and they are legit. I also am a member of Gypsy Jackpot. They’re smaller but pay better and I’ve never had an issue of getting paid by them either.

I just started with TT and so far it’s been a little tedious, but then again, I am trying to do the surveys while at work. LOL I’m looking for other outlets such as this also. My wife is a stay-at-home wife do to medical issues and wants to help in any way to bring in some extra income. I noticed above other sites like fusioncash, gptreasure and gypsy jackpot. Any others that are quality sites? Thanks and happy surveying.

    Hi Scottman,

Get paid to try offers can be very tedious. You have to stay organized or you can lose money if you’re not doing the free offers.
I would encourage you to read the following articles:

    Read my review on FC:
http://www.workathomenoscams.com/2007/08/27/is-fusion-cash-fusioncashcom-a-scam/ it’s very much like TT if you’re already doing wel there.
Since you’re asking for recommendations visit my recommendations page here:
http://www.workathomenoscams.com/recommendations There is a lot of various ways to make money. Just keep reading my blog. There is a boat load of them covered here.

I’m not sure if your wife is disabled now, but if she is you might want to have her check into my work at home for folks with disabilities listed here:

Thanks for the quick response Eddy. That was fantastic. I’ll keep checking back frequently to see what you have going on here. As far as my wife, she is not technically disabled. What she has is a condition called Chiari Malformation, which basically means that here Brain stem has settled into her spinal canal. As we all know, it is impossible for two objects to occupy the same space and when those two objects are your brain stem and your spine, well, it causes pain that most of us will hopefully never have to experience. SO, job opportunities for her are limited, since she can not stand for long periods of time. At home jobs would seem to be the obvious avenue for her to persue. Thanks again for the info. Happy holidays to everyone.@Eddy Salomon:

Wow, your wife’s condition sounds very painful. If she is considered officially disabled by the government it would qualify her some of the work at home opportunities I listed in that article. But if not there are various work at home options that may be a fit for her which can be found here:
http://www.workathomenoscams.com/companies and every friday we add new jobs here:

Maybe something will pan out. Either way, I’ll keep her in my prayers. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

    Hi Sabrina,

Thanks for the kind words. It always does my heart good to hear when I’ve helped someone avoid some crazy work at home scams. I’ve never heard of Labell Baskets. However Mia is an old friend of mine that goes way back. I doubt she would recommend something shady. But I’m always big proponent of doing your own research even if someone like me recommends something. Sometimes the complaints that folks have about a company doesn’t really bother me because I know how to get around them. But for others it may be enough to stop them from working with a company. So I would suggest watching my scam video and applying the steps listed there to research this Labell Baskets company.

As always, my personal recommendations can be found here:
http://www.workathomenoscams.com/recommendations but like everything else, take them with a grain of salt. lol

Take care and Happy Holidays to you and your family as well.

I have just signed up to TT but am a little concerned about the amount of mail and or phone calls i may receive as a result of completing some of these surveys? has anyone found this to be a problem???

    Hi,

Use a different active email than your own personal one. In terms of phone calls, I would use a skype number or google voice or some other online service so that your home phone isn’t bombarded. Because you’ll definitely receive a lot of marketing material with these offers. That is ultimately the trade off with get paid offers.
