My daughter is graduated and out on her own now. However, about 3-4 months ago, my daughter deleted the MySpace account she had because of my repeated mentionings that it was not a very good representation of her as a person primarily because of the comments that her friends were posting which periodically contained negativity and profanity.
I cannot stress enough that one's MySpace or Facebook account speaks louder then their resume.
And if one has placed their Myspace or Facebook account into "PRIVATE" where no one can see it but people on their list, then that would lead people to believe that one might be secretive and possibly hiding something. Potential employers are looking for trusted employees.
In the end, what one thought was a cool hangout site could be one's worst nightmare.
