Thanks LiveCounseling.com for stopping by and addressing some the comments. You've clearly demonstrated that you're serious about serving your users in the best way. It's safe to say if you were truly a scam you wouldn't have even bothered to address these concerns or provide ways for people to contact you to resolve any issues they may have. Thanks again. Your effort is appreciated! Hopefully some of the few people that had an issue will take you up on your offer and come back here to share their experience with us.

Hello Everyone, We are about a week or so away from webcams. We are in beta and have been testing them but you do have a point and we will remove the webcam reference until it's 100% ready. We offer free three minutes with all our experts with funded account ($5 minimum) which gives a client a chance to ask the expert some initial questions. We can easily be contacted if anyone has questions and we refund anyone who is not happy with the service (have not been contacted to do this yet:) support@livecounseling.com 1 877 419 4508

Hi Lauren,

The fee doesn't constitute a scam. This is a common misconception among work at home seekers. If I wanted to start a McDonald's, could I do it with thin air? Nope. I would obviously need money. So when it comes to a home based business it's expected that you'll need to invest money to get a business off the ground. In terms of a job, you shouldn't have to pay anyone to work for them. So let's clarify that difference first. I don't know about you but if i need advice from an accountant or lawyer I have to pay a fee. Is it a scam then? The only difference in this situation is the medium being used is the internet instead of actually going to their office.

Now with that said, I think it's shady that the web cam was even an option if it's not ready. At the very least they're guilty of misrepresenting their service which is definitely considered deceptive. So I totally understand your issue with them in that respect. it's sort of like false advertising. Hey LiveCounseling.com you really need to address this. That's not good business.

Lauren, thanks for providing your experience though. You made a valid point regarding the web cam issue.

What constitutes a scam? Because I feel like my money was stolen from me. I checked out the site and wanted to do a video chat with one of the counselors. When I click on the webcam chat button, it said I had to PREPAY (scammy already). Then after prepaying I was notified that the webcam feature is 'coming soon'. My only option was text chat. ONLY to find out that all I was doing was paying someone to instant message them. If this was the case I would just search for a counselor on google and AIM them. Lame.

Snippy aren't we? lol But I see your point. However I would still be inclined to confirm the requirements with the site though.

Hi Saffy,

Welcome to our blog. Feel to become a subscriber if you haven't already: www.workathomenoscams.com/subscribe In terms of the "expert" title, with sites like this it doesn't necessarily mean you need to have a degree in your given field. That's obviously not the case in the outside world. But the best thing to do, is visit their site and email them to ask them this question to be on the safe side. I've been involved in the work at home industry and affiliate marketing ( www.workathomenoscams.com/aff ) since the early 90's. I don't have a degree in any of those fields, yet some would still consider me an expert. I know the academic types hate when that happens. But the web is the great equalizer where your love and personal experience can be rewarded without the need of validation from some over priced school. lol Now with that said there is a flip side of this where we have idiots that claim to be experts with little or any personal experience. This is like the blind leading the blind and that's not any good either.

In any event, good luck. I'm sure you'll enjoy more of our content as you read it.

Welcome again.

I've just discovered your website and already enjoying looking through it, so thank you for that!

I'm interested in this here livecounseling.com but the only place my 'expertise' fits in is under the professional counseling section. However, it's more of a personal experience expertise than 'I have a degree and am a professional at this' sort of experience. I hope that made sense! :)

Anyway, what I'm trying to ask is, can I still sign up under this section? Because I feel like a fraud saying I'm a professional, haha.
