Birthday “Extravaganza” Winners!

As promised I'm here to announce the winner of my Birthday "Extravaganza" contest.  But before I do, I just want to thank all of you again for chiming in with your comments. As I said last week, this should really serve as an inspiration to any of you lurking in the shadows that are still on the fence about the possibilities of making money at home. I would hope that hearing from your counterparts will give you more of an incentive to take action.

There are a lot of options out there and sometimes they may be things outside your normal consideration. But if you have an open mind, trust me it can lead to bigger and better things. I'm a testament to this and apparently so are the other folks that frequent this site. So what do you have to lose?

Alright it's time to get on to the winners. Drum roll please…….. The winners are:

  1. Wendy
  2. Sue Fegan
  3. James

Please congratulate the winners by posting your comment below. Show them as much love as you did for me. Thanks again to everyone that participated.  You guys are the best!

P.S. I had a great birthday week. My wife & baby girl spoiled me with some pretty sweet gifts. Click here to see them.

    Eddy,

    Thank you.
I’m completely blown away by this. I had to click on my name to make sure that it was my name. I’m not used to good surprises. They tend to make me cry. Which this did.

    So thank you.

    Wendy

Awesome!! Congrats everyone. I knew that I would probably win all three prizes from what I could share about Eddy and the knowledge, support and most importantly friendship he’s given me this year. So I kept my name ( and essay ) out of the mix.

Once again, Congrats everyone and congrats Eddy for your generosity.

DJ Hero? We’ve certainly come a long way from Sugar Hill Gang, huh? I’ll date myself further and ask whether anyone remembers Funkadelic by Parliament?

    Wendy,
    You’re welcome and deserve this!

    Phil,
    LMAO.

    Todd,
You brought it way back buddy! The Parliament was before my time but it was reincarnated in a lot of the rap I listened to in the 80’s. P.S. DJ Hero has been so much fun for me. I grew up when hip hop was more about creative lyrics & dj skills so this brings me back and it’s a nice trip back to memory lane. Good times.

Thanks to everyone that has sent their congrats to the winners!

    @Eddy Salomon:

Gotta chime in here about music. I’m mostly a metal / alternative / punk kinda guy, but I’ve developed an appreciation for some of the 90’s rap / hip hop. I really need to buy a Public Enemy CD. Love “Bring the Noize”

    Aww Phil,
You have some good taste man. I loved me some public enemy. What most probably don’t know about me is that I was a big fan of alternative rock such as Nirvana, Live, Sound Garden, etc. I actually like a lot of different music. Fortunately there is a lot of cross over in genres so younger generations get exposed to a lot more. I remember growing up it was you were either a metal head, into freestyle or rap. There was no real mixing very much like other aspects of society. Now you’ll find rock dudes collaborating with hip hop dudes (for better or worst. lol)

Yeah, Run DMC and Aerosmith started it and pretty much told a couple generations of narrow minded individuals that it was okay to accept different genres of music. Then came anthrax and P.E… When I was a kid in the 80’s I was the guy that was hard to figure out. I was a big Maiden and metal dude, but was also heavily involved in the punk skate scene, and listened to Depech Mode and such. Now, I just appreciate musicians for who they are “people way more talented than myself.

One of my favorite bands is Tool and I saw an interview with Chuck D somewhere, where he was just gushing over tool and maynard james keenan. It really meant a lot to hear him give so much praise to a genre of music that is on the other end of the spectrum to what he does. Very Inspiring.

Congrats winners! Spend your winnings on something nice for yourselves. ;)

Did someone mention music?! Ohhh yeaahhh. lol

    Hey Todd,

Looks like you and I are the real ‘ole schoolerz in the house! Don’t mind dating myself back at all. It’s prime time livin’ no doubt … everything is at it’s BEST at 40+!

Man oh man … do I ever remember P Funk (Parliament-Funkadelic). Bootsy Collins (with his one-of-a-kind shades, style, and cRaZy antics did his “thang” back in the good day. So many of the artists (including Sugar Hill Gang!) from the 70-80’s did also. Loved it then, and still do today!

Maybe we can share our ‘ole schoo’ collections sometime … Cameo, Slave, BarKays, Lakeside, Gap Band, Grand Master Flash, and the list goes on! LOL

    Phil,
Yes they did. Although Reverend Run wasn’t really down with it initially. lol In any event it definitely changed the way folks had to think and thank goodness for that. I think we’re all better for it. By the way I totally forgot about tool. Their videos were so cool yet very troubling. But I couldn’t help but watch them. Another excellent band. I could never really get into “Depress” Mode. lol They really were very depressing. lol

    Callie,
It’s funny I know most of the artists you’re referring to. I must be a pretty good student of music. lol Damn I totally forgot about Cameo. Between you and Phil, I need to hit up itunes and purchase some classic music from a whole mess of genres that I love.

    Ivibeblk,
LOL. Trust me I know how lucky I am to have my wife. She caters to all my needs childish or not. Every man needs a women that is “down for their team” to push you forward. But also to check you when you’re being reckless and “coming out of pocket”. lol So I appreciate her very much. That being said, I’m really loving DJ Hero. Of course my nephew and Godson whupped my butt in it but I chalk that up to their youth. lol

WOW Eddy I an humbled by this prize. Six month ago I found this site in almost desperation trying to figure out some legitimate ways to earn money from home. I was wary, weary, worried and full of wonder at all the information I found. Your philosophy of relationship marketing really worked for me. I treasure your advice and applaud what you are doing for others every day.
sorry I can add nothing about this DJ hero thing–haven’t become wary, weary or worried enough to figure that out!
LOL to you Eddy and to all the people on this site searching for some answers. Keep at it and some combination of these ideas will click for you and you will be able to take action and start your own learning adventure.
Your little princess had a big week Daddy’s birthday and Sesame Streets 40th all in one week!
Thank you ever so much again and congratulations to my co-winners as well!

    Liz,
You’re welcome. I’m just happy you felt comfortable enough to share your story with us. I’m already having a great year because of my family and folks here. So thanks for that wish!

    Sue,
You’re welcome. You deserve this prize. By the way I had watched a special on Sesame Street’s 40th anniversary. It’s so surreal. Because I remember watching this show as a child and here I am sharing it with my own daughter every morning. It’s funny to watch it as an adult because you can see they throw some humor towards the parents to make it bearable for us to watch. I can’t believe how much Sesame Street has changed but yet stayed true to some of the principles that made it the show to watch. Good times!

    Lavisha,
Isn’t funny how men front like they’re getting certain games and toys for their kids? But of course our women know better and still let us get our toys or buy them for us. So applaud all the women that indulge our foolishness. lol The Sugar Hill Gang is a classic. So I feel you there!

    Edith,

What are you babbling about? I don’t charge a fee for the jobs. If you just look at the right column there are a whole bunch of job listings there and it doesn’t cost a dime. I also list them for free on my companies page:
http://www.workathomenoscams.com/companies and every Friday here on this blog: http://www.workathomenoscams.com/category/work-from-home-job-leads/ and my workathomecareers.com newsletter.

It’s obvious you’re confusing my mention of http://www.GoHomeJobStop.com which I clearly state is a membership based site and that it’s just suggested as another resource if you think the free options I provide aren’t enough. But that would be missed if you fail to read my information. This is another reason why R.I.F is important and why I wrote the following article a long time ago which apparently needs to be mentioned again:
    http://www.workathomenoscams.com/read

    End rant here. lol
