Hi WIlliam,

A lot of folks don't really know about my Joel watching or the other "spiritual, self help or self development" stuff I'm into. Although I thought it would be easy to figure out based on all my mindset comments. lol But I agree with you, Joel is a very inspirational preacher. He definitely changed my life as well. The crazy thing was, I didn't know my life needed changing. My in-laws had tried to introduce me to his programming for a while but I ignored it. I just thought he was going to be like some Jimmy Swaggart dude. I also think being from the Bronx makes you kind of hard edged. But finally something snapped and I happen to catch him one sunday morning and I was hooked. Not surprisingly when I discovered him is when I also discovered all these other books and videos that had similar messages but labeled different stuff. So I knew there was something to what he was saying because it was being repeated by so many other successful people.

Unfortunately like so many people that are successful and trying to help people he has a boat load of haters. I use to get side way looks from people because I was into his stuff. Thank goodness I'm a stubborn dude because I would just ignore them. Ironically I surpassed many of those folks. Or is it really irony? lol

In any event, it's good to hear that he has had the same impact on you. I can't imagine the mental and emotional battles you've had to fight over the 5 years. But I'm happy that you did find Joel and it rang a bell for you. Well as he would say, "Let's make this year your best year yet!" Thanks for sharing.

Eddy--I didn't know you watched Joel Osteen--I watch his videos every day on my computer and he literally has saved my life. I have been an unemployed teacher in CA for 5 years, and have had to make do with minimum wage low level jobs which now have gone the way of the rest of the economy. At least I don't have to pay back Citicorp the $18,000 it cost for my MA degree and credential. Bill Dean

You're welcome Maddy!
I think we all need a reminder sometimes, even yours truly. So I'm happy this little story has had such a great impact on folks like yourself. The sky's the limit and we should never forget that. Apparently that door was closed because you were meant for bigger and better things. Now it's just a matter of believing for it, and acting on it when it comes. Because it will!
Good luck.

Hi Eddy,

It was an inspiring story and right on time for me. I believe in the energy of coincidences and having just been rejected last week from a work-at-home writing position that I had no doubt that I would obtain made me feel angry (how on earth could they tell me no!) and a little down. Your story reminded me of some things I had forgotten and forced me to look at my goals again. Uh, I was supposed to aim higher - that position wasn't what I told God I wanted. Thank for the inspiration AND the reminder!!!

Callie,

You're welcome.
I'm glad I'm here for your amusement. lol I keep telling my wife I'm hilarious, but she begs to differ. lol
In any event, it's good to know that you would have still been my VA if "the Man" came calling. Just keep pushing forward as you always have
and I agree things will work out one way or another.

@Eddy Salomon:

Lol,

Even in the midst of some of my seriousness, it's always good for me to get my laugh on. Between you and my hubby, I stay in laughter stitches. Thank goodness laughter is therapeutic because I do get my daily dose.

I definitely hear ya in terms of returning to "the man" if need be, but in NO way would I have left my VA station. Being a part of your great team is far too important to me. Returning to the outside career world would have been in addition to my VA duties.

In all essence, "thangs" at home will be just fine. I have no doubt they will completely work themselves out.

Yes indeed, my destiny called a long time ago, and I'm so glad I answered. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Dang Callie,

I didn't know you were thinking about heading back to "The MAN". Who would have ended up being my top VA? lol
In any event, I'm really happy I wrote this little story. You already know I feel your potential. You're smart, a hard worker, go getter and have a great mindset. You pretty much poses all the things that would make you succeed in this industry. Like most people it's just a matter of applying yourself, staying consistent and being patient. As the saying goes, "good things comes to those that wait". Or as I like to say, Good things come to those that wait, work hard and have the right mindset. lol

So I'm confident you can do it and probably why I pester you from time to time behind the scenes. You can do anything you put your mind to. The fact that you're my VA is a testament to this. Who could have pulled that off? I wasn't even looking for a VA at the time. But because you were persistent and hard working, I had no choice to put you down on the team. And I think it's been the best thing for both of us. So nothing is impossible for you. Now if there are some "thangs" at home that need tending to and working for the man for a while will handle that, then do what you gotta do. Because you better believe if I had to go back to working for the man because things had changed for the worst, I would in a heart beat. But just like before I would be plotting my exit strategy to get back to "glory." It's okay to make adjustments in life as long as you're still working towards your goals. So do whatever is best for the time being given your situation. Either way, I'm happy that the seed is still in your heart and that you will continue to plug away. You have a lot of value to give to the world. Anyone that has spoken to you enough knows this. So it's your duty to get your voice out there and help people like you were destined to do. So make it happen captain. lol

Eddy,

Due to recent situations & circumstances of mine I had actually thought about returning to "corporate America" for a part time job. Had I began working for "the man" again I would have purposely put my upcoming website redesign project and affiliate marketing efforts on an indefinite hold. Although I would have hated putting my dreams on hold, it seemed like a necessary choice for the moment.

However, after reading your story, something inside me clicked. The timeliness of your inspiration was awesome! Without hesitation I made up my mind that I am NOT returning to "corporate America". Your story has given me that much more self commitment to continue pressing forward in pursuing my ultimate dream of working full time from home. Through continued patience, perseverance, additional faith in the good Lord, and that natural Scorpion drive, I'm determined to reach my ultimate dream, and look very forward to one day telling MY story with hopes that it will be inspire others.

Thank you for sharing! You are such a blessing in more ways than you could ever know.

Johnney,

I appreciate your self question of "What must I do (however large or small) to move just one more step closer to my dreams?" It is one I will ask myself daily. My answer will always be quite simply, "Keep moving forward no matter what!" I encourage you and others to do exactly that as well.

God bless, and much success! ;)

Eddy,
I have been searching for a work from home business; career;/job or whatever I can do from my home and make a living(legal of course, lol) but I really neeeeeed someone to give me step by step instructions or hold my hand or spell it out or sign it to me. I know that I can do this but I don't know where to begin. I was attempting the surveys but honestly that stinks. I am waiting to see if I will be hired by Alpine Access but I know that I am destined for more than that too. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
