Guess who's back?

The last two weeks or so I've been missing some important women in my life. First my wife and daughter went on their yearly "YaYa Sisterhood" vacation get away to Florida. Most of you women should get the YaYa reference. Dudes it's basically a reference to a chick flick about women bonding and probably a movie you would never see unless dragged to it kicking and screaming. Well all the women in my wife's family do their bonding by heading off to her aunt's summer condo where they basically do all the stuff that none of us husbands want to do. It's great for them and me. But obviously I missed them when they were gone. Fortunately my wife and I both have the new iphone and did video chats every day so my princess wouldn't forget her daddy and so I could undo any man hating brain washing that was happening in my absence. lol

In addition to losing my better halves for a week I also temporarily lost my two virtual assistants that help me run both my sites. They do all the dirty work behind the scenes that make the sites useful to you folks. Some of you may have noticed the lack of job leads during their absence. As much as I missed them they were gone for some great reasons. One was moving to their new dream home and another one was having a beautiful baby girl! I always knew how important both these ladies were in my day to day operation of the sites, but when they were gone it really brought it home for me.

Ultimately I realized that the people that keep me sane and happy all happen to be some great women. So I just want to give them all a shout out and say in the great words of Jerry Maguire "You complete me." lol (Thanks Denise, Callie, My Wife & Princess!)

Hopefully all of you have some great people in your lives that make you feel the same way. No one becomes great on their own. They always have help a long the way. I know some of you don't have that when it comes to this work at home stuff which we discussed earlier this week in my article Blood & Work At Home Dreams don't mix. If you can't get the type of support you need from people around you, try to seek it elsewhere. If you do have it, then appreciate it because not everyone does. Just don't be an island. Trust me life is a lot easier in many respects when you have a great support system behind you. That's why I'm always pumping the concept of training to you and why my sites exists to help you folks find legitimate work at home options. When you go it alone, life becomes harder and in some cases dangerous. I'm very blessed to have a great support system around me and I hope that if you don't have one, you find it here with me and this blog.

In any event, enough of this mushy stuff. All this estrogen from my support system must be rubbing off on me. Enjoy the return of our job leads below, I'm sure you've missed them!

The YaYa Sisterhood vacation sounds fab! Your wife and I should connect. lol I know I would immensely enjoy the get away. Nothing like strengthening the sista’hood.

Thanks for the shout! It’s nice to have been missed. But it’s oh so good to be back after my move. I’m slowly but surely emptying boxes by the day. Living out of boxes is not my thang. lol I can’t wait until I get everything put away and arranged as I want. The fam and I have made the whole event fun. I’m really lovin’ how my handsome hubs is helping with much of the arrangement of things. He led me to believe that once he and his crew moved everything into the new house, it’d be my job putting things into their proper place. Man, did I give him a look. lol Nonetheless, he has amazed me to no end. Gotta love a hubs and wife working together to get thingies done.

I am so glad you appreciate your “support system”. There was a day when I was a contract employee working for a hot tempered guy for three years. Why I stayed that long I don’t know! While working there we were able to buy our first house. Closing was on a Saturday and my car broke down on Friday. I had to call in for a personal day. They were desperate for me to come in but it wasn’t possible. He called my contract employer and said he didn’t want me back! My employer called me and told me they would be glad to negotiate for me. I told them “I wouldn’t work for that man again”. That guy had to do my very hard to fill job plus his own for over a year. My employer was very glad I didn’t want to go back because they knew “I worked like a horse” and they were fed up with his temper tantrums. I started my career a week later. Now that’s funny.

Our support systems are absolutely neccessary, but we often don’t realize this until they aren’t there.

I’m with Callie…It is nice to have been missed. Just makes you feel needed and being needed is always a wonderful feeling. So thanks for the shout out! I’m enjoying my little blessing and am so in love with her. Now I truly get the importance of being able to work at home and how much of a blessing it truly is. Eddy your site is amazing and all the information you provide to help us all follow this dream is really a true blessing. I know Callie and I help out behind the scenes but you are the genius that put it all together to help out others. You are greatly appreciated brother.

A support system is important and it’s nice to know that you have such a clear appreciation for those that support you. In life however, there are times when that doesn’t really exist. That can be that way for a variety of reason, among them is when a person gets taken out into a place that they have to start from ground zero with nothing.
The reason is that they need to know they can, they need to learn to believe in themselves and discover what they actually can do.
Sometimes it happens so that they can figure out what is truely important, or what it is that they really want. Support is wonderful durring those times, but when a person is being taken through what can only be compared to the phrase “be all that you can be”, a support system can be a hinderance. It’s too easy to let someone else do what the person needs to do for themselves.
This is an education that is extreem at times, but the end result is that the person is strong and resiliant. In this world being strong and resiliant is nessiary to go forward when all a body wants to do is crawl back in bed and just sleep.

For many of us, support systems come in bits and are few and far between. We have learned to be our own best support system, cuz sometimes you just gotta be it all for yourself because that’s the way it is in life.
The reward is that you get to know that you can.

That was really touching. I don’t know what I’d do without the support I have…they keep me going even when I want to give up on this website thing. My loyal visitors to my site help me to keep focused too. They make me feel as though my content is worth reading and for the few I have…I will keep on writing .

I’m too much of a neat freak to be living out boxes so I feel you. Sounds like you and your husband have everything under control! I’m so happy for ya’ll. Your story obviously resonates with us all. It’s really sad when people just take each other for granted. But sometimes it does take losing people to realize how valuable they are. But even with that, some people will never get it and that’s life. We just need to try to put ourselves in situations where folks do appreciate us and more importantly that we appreciate the great people in our lives. Thanks for chiming in.

You’re welcome. You and I already talked about how important the work we do here is and how it’s become more evident for you now that you have your little princess. Like I said, imagine the mothers that are forced to go back to work offline because of financial obligations. So we’re very fortunate to be in our position for own families and helping others achieve this blessing. I’m confident every day your princess grows, your appreciation and dedication to your situation will increase. Because you’re literally going to be able to experience every moment of her life. Not many people get that opportunity. But hopefully because of the work that we all do, it will be a reality for more people. Anyway, I’ll say it again its great to have you and Callie back! lol

I hear what you’re saying about becoming self reliant. There are definitely situations where a support system may be a crutch. I see it here on this blog sometimes where I’ve pretty much done all the work and presented the information and certain people decide not to read it. But then will have the audacity to email me questions already addressed in the article. So I of all people can relate to what you’re saying. But in most situations I think it’s important that people do have a support system. But if you don’t you definitely need to find it deep in yourself to support yourself. Ultimately I think it all boils down to some balance. Thanks for sharing another insightful comment!
