Weekly Work At Home Recap 9/3/2010

In contract, Yeah

Hey Guys,

Hope you had a great week! Mine was pretty good. We're finally in the process of buying our dream home and this week is when the sellers finally signed the contracts. Yeah! We currently own a condo so home ownership isn't new to us. But owning a "real" house is a whole other beast which brings another set of headaches that at this point in our lives we're happy to take on. Obviously we're very excited, nervous and stressed about this new step in our lives.

My mind & time has been consumed with this house. I'm literally living on HGTV and adding wish list items to amazon account so that once the closing happens, I'm ready to go. lol

So what does this have to do with working at home? Not much except that I have so much money stored up in my various non-traditional work at home opportunities such as MySurvey, SurveySavvy.com & Swagbucks.com, it's enough to buy some major things needed for this new house. Imagine if I were one of these people that think engaging in these opportunities was a waste of my time. Now instead of me having to come out of pocket to buy all these new things from my home, these multiple stream of income will be paying for it. Best of all it's from things I would have been doing anyway for free. Perception is a powerful thing folks!

By the way, I just want to give a big shout out to my facebook fans who have given me a lot of support and advice during this home search process! You guys are great. For those of you who aren't a fan of my facebook fanpage yet, I encourage you to join. We have a lot of fun conversations there as well as my usual work a home stuff.

In any event,  enjoy the leads below and I'll see you next week.

From a guy back toa guy, Eddy — Great advice! One thing that stuck with me many years ago in a course at Northwestern University is: If you don’t take a risk, you never get a reward. A few years later, I left a very comfortable career with a pension and all the other benefits from apublic sector job and entered the private sector. I’ve had many “jobs” come and go since then (downsizing, better opportunities, etc.). But the Good Lord has always seen to it that we paid our bills and have been able to provide for our kids. Now I’m on the threshold of retirement and am getting ready to start another career in affiliate marketing. Can’t wait to see where this road takes me!

Keep up the excellent work and comments.

      Mike,
Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it. I totally agree with you about risk and reward. Obviously you and I are living proof of it.
I’m really excited for you and the new path you plan to venture on. Keep me posted.
      Thanks again.

I liked Eddy’s success story. I still need to read more but compared to everything else I’ve tried and been hesitant to try, this sound good to me. Thank You!

  3. Cathy says

Wow! Here I pictured you working in a big old house with all the French doors wide open and big white curtains billowing in the wind. It’s about time you got one of those.:)

Me too. Lol It just took a bit longer than expected to finally make it a reality. And honestly I really didn’t long for a bigger home until my daughter came into the picture. Better late than never. Lol
