Is The Yaarlo App A Scam or Not?
Links & ads you may click on this blog pay the bills & keep this site free for you. Thanks for supporting!
Update: It appears Yaarlo has disappeared off the face of the internet. Their website is down and the app has been removed from Google Play and the App store. If you'd like to find a way to make money from a company that has a positive BBB rating and has been around for many years, then I recommend looking into SwagBucks.com & FusionCash.com.
This is starting to feel like deja vu. Because here I am yapping about another app that pays for you for shopping. I'd almost run out of fingers trying to keep count of all these apps. Who am I to complain? Because in this situation, the more the merrier, right? It just may lead to more cash for something you already do. However, let's not jump to conclusions. Just because there is another get paid to shop app doesn't mean it's good. So for that reason, I've decided to write a Yaarlo App review. Hopefully it will help you determine if it's worth downloading.
What is The Yaarlo App?
The Yaarlo App is a free smartphone app by Budflix which allows you to earn some cash through shopping and then uploading your receipts to them. That's right, the app pays you for spending your money shopping at retail stores, gas stations, pharmacies, fast food restaurants, wholesale clubs, local restaurants as well as grocery stores. Why would they pay us for this? Well, certain companies would like to know what people are buying and how much they are spending on products. For that reason, they pay companies like Yaarlo for the data it collects. Chances are they're using this information to help improve their own pricing or products. Either way I could care less as long as they're paying.
What Are The Ways To Earn With Yaarlo?
Obviously, one way you earn money is uploading a picture of your receipts to the app. But the app also has a Shop and Earn feature which enables you to rack up points when you shop online via the Yaarlo app. Each time a purchase is made via the app, a cash back percentage is automatically applied to your account. Once you purchase an item through the feature, it moves to the pending section. However, it may take up to a month for your cashback to appear in the accepted section. So it can take a while for this method to actually pay you. Uploading the receipts at other stores seems to be faster.
How Much Money Can You Earn on Yaarlo?
Now we discussed the ways the app can make you money, let's get into more details about that cash. Unfortunately, if you were looking to quit your day job and spending your time shopping, that's not going to happen captain! Not surprisingly the money you earn from the app isn't much to write home about. If you want to make a lot more money, then you may want to check out SwagBucks.com & FusionCash.com as a different way to make money.
Currently you only get a 1%-2% cash back on your receipt totals. This means that if you spend $200 per purchase, you stand to make $2. However, they have a minimum payout of $20 dollars. So you can only cash out via Paypal once you've reached that minimum. So this isn't something you can use to pay immediate bills. It's more like extra money you can use at a later date.
How To Get Started With Yaarlo?
If you are eager to start out on making money through the app, here is the process:
- If you have an iOS or Android device, you start by downloading the app for Free on the app store or on Google Play. You then create an account via email or simply by logging in through Google + or Facebook.
- The next step is to scan your receipts which you do through the ‘scan receipt' button on by taking a photo of your receipt. Be sure that the pic includes the date, store name and the total purchase amount on it.
- If you reach the minimum amount, you can cash out by clicking on the ‘My Balance' button so as to view your prizes. The details are usually sent via email or sent to your PayPal in 7 business days.
Yaarloo Hacks & Tips
If you're looking for ways to earn more money with the Yaarloo app, here are some legal cheats you can use.
Yaarloo has a referral program. You can earn $.50 cents for every friend that you refer. You receive a referral code when you sign up with the app. You can then share your referral code via email, text message or simply copy and paste it to a social media site of your choice. However, your referral points won't be credited until your friend happens to verify the email and also happens to complete a transaction on the app.
Another way to earn more with the app is when Yaarloo runs promotions. These temporary promotions will boost your receipt upload earnings up to 2% – 5%. So be on the look out for that.
As always, every company will have people that aren't happy with their policies or how they conduct business. So this section is if you want to know the nitty gritty about some of the bad points about this company. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a scam. But it will help you determine if this is the right opportunity for you.
Apparently any users have complained that the app doesn't honor its side of the deal by ensuring a 1%-2% payout. Some of the app users have claimed they earn way less than they expected. I don't know if this is a situation where folks math is fuzzy or the company misrepresented the earnings.
It appears that some users have experienced a lot of technical issues with the app. This includes the app freezing during use. Sometimes you might not be able to upload receipts. While others have complained that they could not log back in once they logged out.
Where the heck did it go?
Some users have complained that receipts have been lost by the app while uploading them.
Is Yaarlo Legit?
The Yaarlo app does not appear to be a scam. They have closed down and left their users high and dry. That said, it's definitely NOT something you can use to make any significant amount of real money. It's really just a cash rebate that just gives you a bit of the money back you spent shopping. So you're basically just giving yourself a discount which isn't a bad thing.
But if you're looking for a way to actually supplement or replace your income then this would be a no go. If that's your goal, you may want to consider SwagBucks.com, FusionCash.com, My Top Free Work At Home Recommendation or my popular Work At Home Courses. I would recommend exploring both since they can help provide you with multiple streams of income. Folks that are successful online and in life don't limit themselves to one source of income. You shouldn't either. You can still use apps like Yaarlo but don't depend on them. Explore some of the other options I mentioned as well.
Let me know what you guys think of this app. I would love to hear your experience. So don't be shy and post a comment down below. Thanks for reading.
