Obviously there are a lot of ways to make money online. But not everyone is legitimate or worth your time.  Chances are you know about companies like InboxDollars and FusionCash that pay people to take  surveys, watch videos, play games, shop, visit websites and so on. But what you might know is which one is better for you?

Well we've gone ahead and researched the good, the bad and the ugly of each company to help you decide which site is a better fit for you. So let's measure them up, shall we?

Earning Potential

InboxDollars

With InboxDollars, you make money doing nearly anything you do online like reading emails, playing games, shopping, watching videos and taking surveys. You get paid in cash once you rack up at least $30.

Your earning potential depends on how many of these tasks and offers you can complete.

FusionCash

FusionCash is more or less a xerox of InboxDollars in terms of what you do to make money. They'll also pay you to watch videos, play games, take surveys and so on. How much you earn also depends on what you do as well.

So in terms of earning potential alone, I would call this one a stalemate.

Work Location

InboxDollars

At this time, InboxDollars accepts users from the United States only. Yeah that sucks for my international folks but you can find worldwide work at home jobs here.

FusionCash

FusionCash is only available in United States and Canada. So FusionCash takes this one.

Ease of Use

InboxDollars

All the ways to earn are laid out across the dashboard. But you'll constantly be redirected to third party websites and the best ways to earn require you to spend money. It's also clear that they don't filter ads for you, so you won't breeze through the offers with ease. But their dashboard is easy to navigate and looks modern.

FusionCash

The account dashboard looks dated with the available ways to earn (mostly offers) appearing as a list. You'll also constantly be redirected to third party websites especially while taking on offers. There are not as many ads, but it's hard walking through offers if you're in a hurry.

WINNER: INBOXDOLLARS

Legitimacy

InboxDollars

InboxDollars is totally legit and according to the website, having paid out over $57 million in rewards since they started back in 2000. Again, their BBB rating is an A+ so that's kinda reassuring.

FusionCash

FusionCash is also legit having paid over $40 million in rewards since they started in 2005. They also have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Referral Program

InboxDollars

With InboxDollars, you get 10% of what your referral earns on the website for life, as long as their account remains active. But the 10% cut is limited to what they earn from the sign up bonus, surveys, shopping, playing games, groupons and redeeming coupons only.

FusionCash

With FusionCash, you get $1 when your friend signs up and confirms their email, $2 when they complete their first offer and $5 every time they cash out for life. There's also no limit to how many friends you can convince to join, as long as they remain active on the site.

WINNER: INBOXDOLLARS

Mobile Support

InboxDollars

InboxDollars has an app available on both Android and iOS. They notify you of new ways to earn periodically, but those notifications are mostly annoying ads that may get under your skin quite fast.

FusionCash

FusionCash doesn't have mobile apps at this time, so you can't really earn money on the go. So if you can weather those irritable ads on InboxDollars, then it's the better option of the two.

WINNER: INBOXDOLLARS

Sign Up Bonus

InboxDollars

There's a $5 sign up bonus when you sign up and activate your InboxDollars account. But they also have many other ways to earn even greater bonuses which can be significantly greater than just $5.  You can read all about that here.

FusionCash

FusionCash gives you $5 when you sign up, confirm your email, tell them where you live and were they'll deposit your funds to, PayPal or check. That's about it!

WINNER: FUSIONCASH

Which is Better InboxDollars or FusionCash?

Both companies square up real nice on the earning scale. Perhaps what makes FusionCash stand out a little more is the fact that they don't make you jump through hoops to get your sign up bonus. But they don't have an app, unlike InboxDollars, and the website is not that user friendly. You're also better off choosing the InboxDollars referral program if you're all about making money off your friends' efforts.

That said, these companies just focus on making a little extra money. If you're looking to make real money working part time or full time at home, check out My Best Work At Home Recommendation.
