Whether you are looking for some extra spare cash or a full-time work at home opportunity, the Internet is ripe with potential for making money if you know where to look. Some opportunities like QuickThoughts claim to reward you for spending your free time taking surveys. But can you make enough to make it worth your time? What is QuickThoughts?
Quickthoughtsapp.com is website that pays rewards for completing surveys and location-based activities.The app was first launched in 2013 and is owned by Survey Sampling International. The company's headquarters are located in Shelton, Connecticut. The company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau but no accreditation.
How Does QuickThoughts Work?
You can download the app on any Apple or Android device and register a free account. If you don't have a mobile device, you can create an account directly on the QuickThoughts website and log in there to complete surveys. There are numerous surveys available that range anywhere from 5-30 minutes. Surveys pay out anywhere from $0.50-$3 per survey, depending on their length. You may have to answer a few pre-qualifying questions before each survey. But unlike many other survey apps, you get $0.10 when you are disqualified. Other sites don't give you anything.
You can also earn rewards by participating in location-based activities. Depending on where you live, you can get paid for completing certain tasks while you are out and about. These tasks include things like checking into a store, taking pictures of a display, or taking an in-store poll.
Unfortunately, the surveys payout might not be enough and you may have to consider other sources of income like taking more surveys on SurveyJunkie.com. You can also complete tasks like watching videos or visiting websites and so much more in the comfort of your house on FusionCash.com, Swagbucks.com, and InBoxDollars.com.
How Does QuickThoughts Pay You?
At the time of this review, the app pays out rewards with gift cards from either Amazon or iTunes depending on what mobile device you use. If you are using an Apple device, you will only receive the iTunes card. If you are using an Android device, you are only eligible for the Amazon gift card. There is a $10 minimum payout. When you redeem, you will receive a gift code by email along with instructions on how to use it. There is no limit to the amount of gift codes you can receive. QuickThoughts Complaints
So, in theory, this all sounds good but it's not. There are some complaints and concerns about QuickThoughts that you should be aware of. It doesn't mean it's a flat out scam. But we don't want you to waste your time or be surprised. So let's dive into them below.
Don't Quit Your Day Job: You can't earn any real cash with the app because the company only pays out in gift cards. And you won't make a whole lot in gift cards even if you spent all your time completing surveys. Plus, you are limited to what gift card you can receive based on what mobile device you are using. Payout Trouble: Some members have complained that the company has shut down or frozen their accounts because of “suspicious activity” and they lost their earned rewards. Others simply just didn't receive their payouts.
You can also try out other companies that have no payment problems like SurveyJunkie.com a survey company that pays you money. There are also companies like FusionCash.com, Swagbucks.com, and InBoxDollars.com that also pay cash when you download apps or read emails amongst other tasks.
Limited Location Based Activities: You may not be able to access any of the activities depending on where you live. This limits your earnings with the app to only the surveys.
No Sign-Up Rewards: The app does not appear to offer to sign up rewards or bonuses. There is also does not seem to be a referral program where you can earn money from referring others to join.
So Is QuickThoughts Legit or a Scam?
QuickThoughts is a legitimate app that rewards people with gift cards for taking surveys or participating in certain local shopping activities. The app pays up to $3 per survey, which is higher than most other similar apps out there. The site also gives out a small incentive even if you are disqualified during a survey, which is something other apps don't do. However, you can only redeem for gift cards not cash and there are no signup bonuses or referral programs. You won't make any significant money by using the app.
If the idea of earning gift cards turned you off you may consider checking out companies like FusionCash.com, Swagbucks.com, and InBoxDollars.com which pays you actual money after completing the simple task like watching videos or visiting websites. Apart from that, there are also other legitimate survey companies like SurveyJunkie.com that will pay you cash. How cool is that?
After reading all the other QuickThoughts reviews as well as mine, you should have a complete understanding of how the website works and what it has to offer. This company is not legit – its a scam. I put real info and my personal number to confirm but once I try to get the rewards they suspended me for reasons like they see issues example: multiple accounts – UNTRUE! 1 Account and sent them screenshots too. Shame that this people or company are contributing to the problem of our world. They should be hold accountable. Shame!
TOTAL SCAM! I signed up and did several surveys all with no problem. Then, when I reached over the $10 threshold to withdraw, I was unable to do so for some unclear reason. When I reached out the customer service, I had to wait a whole week (due to Christmas) to find out that they had suspended my account just as several others have mentioned. It’s deceitful! They are making money from recruiting people to fill out surveys, then never paying them out. DO NOT USE! RUN AWAY! There are far more and better survey companies whose business practices are ethical and fair.
Signed up for this app through another rewarded app for points. I do my first survey and when I was near the end, it said something went wrong and to contact support for assistance and kicks me out of the app. I try to go back on it only to say there is something wrong with my account. I contact their team and I get this back in return:
“Unfortunately, the accuracy and attentiveness of your account activity has been flagged, and upon review of your account, we have been forced to suspend your account.
As a member of our program you may only have one account, provide accurate profile information and survey responses. You must also be thoughtful and attentive in responding to our surveys. When we have concerns about any of these program rules we are obligated to take steps to investigate and unfortunately suspend accounts.
We do not take account suspension lightly and do so only when account issues have been identified. At this time your account has been indefinitely suspended and you will no longer be able to participate in surveys or claim rewards from our website.
Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for your patience.”
This was my first time ever I signed up for an account, I had never used this app before. I thought I maybe messed up with my answers in the survey because I was tired or because I didn’t know you were supposed to scroll sideways but then I check the reviews and see this has happened to lot of people, suspended for no reason at all and also getting accused of these things. Also I do not put my real name online for the public to see such as in my email accounts, they should know this. I only put my personal information on my accounts only only the staff would see, not the public. Again, they should know this. This app is ridiculous and I would give it an F.
And also, I have only used Medicare and the state health insurance, no other insurances and they kept asking me for my opinions on Providence and other things and I couldn’t only give it a zero because I never had that insurance so I can’t rate them. I got suspended during my first survey all because of none applicable questions they were asking me.
If you use this app, expect to be suspended if you don’t use your real name on all your emails or if you open this app on vacation or at work or away from home, if they ask you survey questions that are NA to you, or if your income or household number changes, etc.
I haven’t had any problems when it comes to Quick Thoughts. I have had the app on my smartphone & tablet for a while now. I love Amazon as well, I buy from them all the time. Quick Thoughts is convenient & it is not a scam.
I love quickthoughts. I don’t mind the gift cards. Been with the app about 3 years and have redeemed over $800 in Amazon gift cards. If your consistent you can build up your $10 cards pretty quick.depends on your time. Patients is a virtue.

I downloaded the app, and being that I work a weird schedule I had plenty of time to complete the surveys. I accrued $11, and wanted to verify that they actually paid the cards as they claimed before going further. First, I was denied payout because I needed to be a member for 72hrs prior to claiming. Ok. And then, when the 72 hour period was complete, they flagged my account and intimately suspended it without a better explanation than suspicious activity. This solidly looks like a scam. No matter how many “supposed” person claim to have received anything from them.

Just as I was about to reach redemption, my QT account has been frozen for so called suspicious activity. I also have had the same issue happen with Your Voice, also owned by Survey Sampling. While I’ve not spent copious amounts of time on either app/site, it’s obvious that SS do not want to pay and it’s very poor form. I’ve contacted support in both cases but I’m not expecting a satisfactory outcome. I will continue to focus my time on Swagbucks and InstaGC instead.

Thanks for sharing. I have downloaded this app about a week ago, and I already made $30. I find that most of the surveys are only around 15-20 minutes in length. I can easily do one quickly at work or waiting in line at the grocery store. It definitely crashes during many of the surveys, but it has its perks. A way to make some cash so I can buy things for vacation.

Have you tried contacting QuickThoughts? Usually when that happens it means it’s not available in your country or area. So you should visit their site and use their contact page.
