But did you know you could actually earn money doing some of these things? Nowadays there are plenty of websites that rewards people like you and I for taking surveys, watching videos, and signing up to receive free trials on products and services. Today we're going to focus on one of these reward sites called GrabPoints to determine whether or not it is a legitimate opportunity or a scam. If you're tired of the fake GrabPoints Reviews, you'll love this real one. So let's get started!

What is GrabPoints?

GrabPoints located at GrabPoints.com is a website that rewards points for watching videos, taking surveys, completing offers, and downloading apps. Points are redeemable for gift card rewards from a wide variety of retailers. According to its website, GrabPoints was founded in 2014 but does not give any detailed information on its founders or its corporate headquarters location.

How Does GrabPoints Work?

Users earn points for completing several different types of tasks such as watching videos, taking surveys, or downloading apps. Users are also able to earn points for sharing GrabPoints on social media networks or referring to friends who join. These earn points are redeemable for gift cards from retailers such as Target, Walmart, Amazon, and PayPal.

Did you know that there are other companies that will pay you to complete similar tasks? InBoxDollars.com, Swagbucks.com, and FusionCash.com or a survey company like SurveyJunkie.com will pay you for online activities you do such as playing games, watching videos or downloading apps and many other things. Now you know.

How to Earn Points with GrabPoints?

Users can earn between 2-10,000 points depending on the selected activity. Members can earn 2 points for each video watched and between 500-2,500 for each survey or offer they complete. Downloading apps can earn up to 500 points each but may have certain requirements to complete, such as reaching a certain level of the game, before the points are actually posted to the user's account. You can also earn one point for each referred friend and 500 points if the referred friend earns 1,000 points.

How Does GrabPoints Pay You?

Members can redeem points towards many retailer gift cards or PayPal payouts. Gift cards start at $10, which is the equivalent of 10,000 points. GrabPoints has a $2 minimum payout threshold. Users receive redeemed gift card reward codes directly in their email inbox within 72 hours. How Do You Join GrabPoints?

Anyone can join for free using your desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet. You just need to sign up using your email address, Google account, or Facebook information. Once you sign up, you can earn additional one-time points for completing a tutorial, uploading an avatar picture, and connecting your social network information.

GrabPoints Hacks or Tips

GrabPoints releases various promo codes on their social media accounts like their facebook page. You just enter these codes in the promo code area when you're signed in and you'll get free points for doing nothing which is pretty cool.

GrabPoints Complaints

Complete Time-Suck: Many folks have complained that it takes a long time to earn enough points to be able to cash out. Many of the apps are downloadable games that require a certain level to be achieved before earning the points. Many of the surveys ask pre-qualification questions which can take up time as well without earning any points. If you measure the time you spend on these activities with the payoff amounts for them, it easily adds up to less than the minimum wage. For a better way to earn income, you may want to check out my Top Free Work At Home Recommendation.

Don't Quit Your Day Job: Keep in mind you need to earn 1,000 points in order to make a $1. Doing so means jumping through a lot of hoops and not as easy it seems. Many members have reported earning less than $100 per month if that. So this may not be something you can depend on to replace or supplement your income.

Limited Customer Service Contact: The only way to contact the company is by submitting a ticket on their website. There is no background information about the company or a listed phone number to reach a customer service representative.

No BBB Listing: For some of you, a BBB rating and listing is like having God's blessing on a company. When the fact is that the BBB is pay to play organization, it's not some non-profit. Well, in either case, if you feel a BBB listing is worth gold, you'll be disappointed that GrabPoints doesn't have one at the time of this review.

Fortunately there are other companies that have a positive BBB rating. If you want to make money with companies that are trusted by the Better Business Bureau, you may want to look into SurveyJunkie.com, InBoxDollars.com, Swagbucks.com and FusionCash.com where you can get paid for what you already do online like watch videos, read emails and other tasks.

So Is GrabPoints Legit or a Scam?

GrabPoints appears to be a legitimate get paid to earn rewards website. If you have lots of time on your hands. There are a variety of ways to earn points redeemable for gift cards from major retailers. However, it isn't enough money for your monthly bills. It takes a significant amount of time to accumulate points which could be better spent on more financially rewarding opportunities.

So with that said, it's good to look at other options as well. So you may want to check out sites like InBoxDollars.com, Swagbucks.com, FusionCash.com and SurveyJunkie.com as other ways to earn money online as well. You can get paid for doing simple tasks that you already do online.

But if you're looking to make a full time or part time income, you may want to look into my Top Free Work At Home Recommendation as well. With multiple streams of income, you can easily achieve financial freedom and make better use of your time than using sites like GrabPoints. Let me know your thoughts and experiences below with GrabPoints or other similar sites. I'd love to hear from you!

  1. They pay for awhile but then they close your account for no reason and you end up being ripped off with a vague explanation of “invalid use” – so they can keep your earnings. I was making $5.00 a day at most and I’m pretty sure I could’ve found something more profitable to cheat on if I was the type of person I’m accused of being. I’m only out $12.91 but just beware….

  2. Grabpoints is totally a scam.

After putting in hours of time actually taking surveys and providing thoughtful answers, my request for a reward payout was denied. When I contacted support, I received what appeared to be an automated bot reply saying that “the security team flagged my account” and I would have to provide scans of utility bills and my actual state ID. Yeah right!

Don’t waste your time on this one, folks. It’s just another scam designed to collect and sell your personal information. If you need spare money or something just collect aluminum cans from the side of the road, the payout will be much higher.

    • Hi Stephen
I don’t know why you are having such problems I’ve been using Grabpoints for ages now and on average I make $100 USD a week This is about $140 AUD to feed my “habit” of online shopping The hubby loves this as I don’t damage the house budget I just cashout in Paypal once a week and it’s NEVER taken any more than 48 hours to land in my account

  3. I was asked by Grab Points to write a review and would be paid a dollar to review for them. After my second request for payment, I was suspended. I was asked for verification of my identity. This is something, other reward sites do not ask for. I also did not get paid for my review. I would be leery about Grab Points, while seeming legit. Grab Points is actually a scam, scheming to plant adware, virus, and obtaining information about their members. You will hear from Grab Points, I used Promo Codes or did not do something they wanted. The truth is, Grab Points simply does not want to pay their members. Do no use Grab Points, they are a scam and covet emporium.

    • Hmmm, that’s interesting. Where did they ask you to write the review?
I’m sorry to hear about your experience. But I know there is always two sides of the story. It would be interesting to hear their side.

    • This is the email, Grab Points sent me. No rewards. No money. Yet they sent me an email asking for positive reviews. This is the exert from Grab Points,

      Hi Robert,

Thanks for the quick response! Please post a comment on the following blogs in the comments section:

The testimonials must be worded differently on both sites. Please be sure to mention the following in your own words:
      – Superior payout rates
      – Fast and huge selection of payouts
      – Highest offer payouts
      – Anything else from your own positive experiences, what you like etc.

Let me know once complete and I’ll look out for the approval of the comments.
Once the comments are approved (usually 24-48 hours), we can issue you 2000 points. Let me know if you have any questions.

      Thanks!

      No Points! No Money!

    • Well I can’t say I’m surprised. I did feel many of the influx of comments I was getting seemed scripted and not natural. So none of them were approved. So your message confirms this. It’s sad they need to resort to this. They should just focus on doing right by users like you and they will get positive feedback on their own.

Hopefully they’ll work on that. They have potential if they can acknowledge they have things to work on and improve on it.

    • Hello! Just wanted to add to your comment. GrabPoints has removed the policy of expiring points. Here is the news release:

GrabPoints has exciting news for the rewards community! After listening to your feedback and concerns regarding the expiration of points, we’ve decided to take some major steps and remove expiry all together! Effective February 11, 2019, points will no longer expire after 30 days of inactivity. We hope this will encourage everyone to earn more.

  4. I have been apart of Grab Points since February of 2018, while it took me a few months to earn 10 dollars, I did successfully earn 10 dollars. I was given a nice surprise when Grab Points, switched from common payout rates to Superior Payout Rates by increasing the amount we earn. The payout was fast and I did have a huge amount of selections of payouts. I ultimately, chose Paypal and waited the 48 business hours. I was not locked out after getting paid. I enjoy earning points by watching videos, checking out offers, taking surveys, and reviewing articles.

    • Hi Vee – I can say with certainty that we don’t lock out accounts for no reason. Your account was suspended due to fraudulent activities. Any of the below would classify your account as a fraudulent activity.

      1) Using a proxy, hosting service, VPN or any other service used to circument natural login behaviors

      2) Completing offers fraudulently. This can include using false information to complete offers and completing surveys too quickly.

      3) The inability to co-operate with our support department when being asked for verification ID, due to suspected fraudulent activity.

  5. I joined grabpoints about a month ago, they never gave me the promised $5 sign on bonus and ignored the help ticket requesting so. I went on to actually request 3 payouts ($3 each) I have been mainly watching grabpoints tv, and playing some of the word games, then the tv channel stopped working on the pc “restricted player” message for every single video, so I started doing it on the tablet, annoying as hell that you have to close each ad but I did it you would think this would prove I’m a person? Having to click that x, or close, and of course back basically every minute!

No idea why, but I was suddenly kicked out on the app and when I tried logging back in it says “user is locked” so I go to the website, and it has deleted all my history, will not let me view my profile, I refreshed the page and found myself logged out, now I get wrong password when I attempt to login, completely out of the blue, not even an email telling me what happened.

I’m doubtful that I got hacked, 700 points wouldn’t be useful to anyone…

In addition to this, I would like to point out the following:
If GrabPoints TV stopped working, this means that the provider determined that you were watching videos too quickly, or the browser detected invalid activity (meaning the tab wasn’t in focus and you weren’t watching videos), which resulted in an error message. This message is shown by the provider. The only reason it worked on your tablet is because the security settings are based on watching habits by device. This means your viewing on your tablet was seen as legitimate.

  6. I signed up back in August 2016. Earned some points then just forgot about it. Got email two days ago stating my points were going to expire soon. Swear this is the first warning I’ve EVER gotten. Logged into my account to see ALL my points had expired back in November! What the hell?!

    • Hi Jess. All we ask from users is to complete one qualifying activity a month, which includes the following: completing offers, downloading apps, watching videos on Smores/Engage etc. This is also stated in our terms.

We offer the HIGHEST offer payouts in the industry and need to ensure that members remain active just once a month, which is quite simply for tier 1 countries. We also warn users 5 days in advance so they have a chance to jump in and complete an offer.

  7. I have used this app Grabpoints for a few years & now all of a sudden points expire?? Seems if you don’t do things to make them revenue by downloading apps & doing surveys that never credit you anyways now they take the points that take so long to earn. I saw alot of complaints of this also on play store. I deleted the app, not wasting my time just to have points expire coz their extra way of making money doesn’t work so now their gonna take what you earn. I’m completely disgusted!

  8. GrabPoints is a SCAM. They took away all my points even if I’ve already reactivated my account. They will not pay your unused points. They are a scam. SMH.

    • We can assure you that GrabPoints is not a SCAM. Your account shows that you were claiming free promo codes and not completing any qualifying activities (completing offers, download apps, watching videos on Smores/Engage etc). All we ask from users is that users complete a qualifying activity at least once a month. This is also stated in our terms. Also, just to clarify, your account was not deactivated, your points were expired for the reason stated above.

The promo codes are released to help our loyal members get to cash out even quicker – so as long as you complete qualified activities, you will be able to cash out in no time and everyone wins.

Not only do we offer the highest payouts in the industry, but we we offer some of the fastest payouts as well.

  9. As everyone knows, surveys & downloads don’t pay. They waste your time answering questions for over an hour, only to tell you that you don’t qualify, downloading apps is a waste of storage space & risks adware/spyware,so,if that’s all your into, you deserve to earn nothing & get screwed over.
But,as for Grabpoints, it is one of the better payout sites,if you have the brains to know that focusing on watching videos/ads pays,& the other garbage is just false advertisement.

    Reply
    • Well I don’t know about all surveys and downloads not paying. I’ve certainly made money and been paid for doing them with certain companies. Now that said I don’t always think they are worth my time. But it doesn’t mean that may not be the case for others.
