jeunesse-logo“Eddy with a Y” has a question for y'all today. How many different Dieting and Beauty Products are on the market today? My answer is: TOO DAMN MANY TO COUNT! (see long list here) But I'm the guy that uses hand soap to wash his face and whatever lotion will help me avoid being ashy. So what do I know?

Companies producing and selling these products raking in insanely huge profits, which comes as no surprise, when you consider that people spending in excess of 100 billion dollars each year on beauty products world wide. Latest estimates predict that this amount will grow to over 200 billion dollars by 2020.

No wonder that companies like LifeVantage, Vfinity and It Works! Wraps, just to mention a few of them, all vie for a piece of this big cake. They all claim to have invented the “Fountain of Youth” with their all natural products that are supposed to slow down the aging process and/or reverse the effects thereof.

Jeunesse Global joins the long list of these companies and is the subject of my review today.

What is Jeunesse Global?

The company was founded in 2009 by Randy Ray and Wendy Lewis and headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida. There are about 15 corporate offices around the globe. Jeunesse Global offers a variety of skin care products as well as dietary and nutrition supplements.

Their flagship product is Luminesce, and co-founder Randy Ray describes Jeunesse Global as follows:

“Jeunesse is not the same old story of skin care and supplements. We are not the same old network model. Jeunesse is a global business that helps people reach their full potential in youthful looks, in healthy living, in embracing life.

Jeunesse combines breakthrough sciences in a product system that enhances youth by working at the cellular level. By focusing on the health, longevity, and renewal of cells, we help people enjoy vibrant, youthful results that last.

WE ARE REDEFINING YOUTH”

WOW. This is a rather bold statement, indeed. Let's find out if the products and business opportunity can back it up, shall we?

What are the Jeunesse Global Products?

1) Luminesce Skincare consists of six Y.E.S. (Youth Enhancement System) components.

  • jeunesse global reviewLuminesce Cellular Rejuvination Serum
  • Luminesce Daily Moisturizing Complex
  • Luminesce Advanced Night Repair
  • Luminesce Youth Restoring Cleanser
  • Luminesce Essential Body Renewal
  • Luminesce Ultimate Lifting Masque

Unlike all other comparable products on the market, Luminesce is NOT based on ‘all natural ingredients‘. Jeunesse claims that ………..

“Infused with a potent growth factor complex derived from natural adult stem cells, the LUMINESCE™ family of products rejuvenates skin cells at a molecular level”.

In order to understand what that really means, and how this miracle concoction was invented, one needs to read their explanation:

“Dr. Nathan Newman, a world-renowned dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, began searching for a topical treatment to help patients recovering from burns and severe injuries. Knowing that stem cells drive cell growth and regeneration, he isolated the stem cell growth factors that serve as the “language” communicating cellular activity”.

Although other scientists were using plant-based growth factors, Dr. Newman derived his growth factors from the stem cells of healthy adults, theorizing that cell communication in the same “language” would be more effective”.

2) AM & PM Essentials: This nutrition supplement comes as caplets and contains powerful vitamins, nutrients, extracts, and antioxidants to help protect your cells from free radical damage

3) ZEN Bodi: Dietary supplements for weight loss. The usual mix of pills, drinks and meal shakes to curb your appetite.

How much do Jeunesse Global Products Cost?

  • The skincare products cost from $50 to $135
  • The AM&PM Essentials cost $140 for 120 caplets
  • The dietary supplements cost you $50 each for a one month supply
  • Finity supplement to maintain healthy stem cells cost $290 for 120 capsules

What is the Jeunesse Global Business Opportunity?

In short, it is a typical MLM network. Contrary to what Randy Ray says, Jeunesse is the good ol' network model. You buy the product from a distributor. Placing a standing monthly order gives you the status ‘Preferred Customer‘ and get the products at a discount.

In order to become a distributor yourself, you now need to recruit a minimum of 2 preferred customers that will do exactly what you did. Recruit and recruit and recruit. You get paid in 6 different ways.

  • jeunesse global reviewRetail Profit
  • New First Order Bonus
  • Team Commission
  • Leadership Matching Bonus
  • Customer Acquisition Incentive
  • Leadership Bonus Pool

The more new people you bring into the organization, the higher you move up in the pyramid hierarchy. Randy Ray and the distributor minions will vehemently deny the fact that Jeunesse is a pyramid scheme.

I am sorry to say it bluntly, if it looks like a pyramid, it is a pyramid.

What are the Jeunesse Global Complaints

Adverse reactions to the product

There are the usual reports that people had adverse reactions to the product, like rashes and minor skin outbreaks. This is nothing of real concern, because not all people react to this kind of product in the same way. And remember, there will always be complaints, even with the best companies.

The product does not work!

A lot of people report that the wrinkle cream does not work and that does not surprise me. A former distributor of Jeunesse admitted on his website that the cr?me ‘simply fills in the space‘ but does not reverse the aging effects.

Jeunesse Global Products are too expensive!

What can I say? Everything has its price and if I compare Jeunesse products to similar stuff out there, I most likely would not spend $2.41 for a single pill of their Finity supplement. And $135 for 15 ml of Luminesce Cellular Rejuvenation Serum looks like highway robbery to me.

It is difficult to get a refund!

As hard as I looked, I could find only a dozen or so complaints from folks saying that Jeunesse Global makes it hard to get refunds. Again, there will always be these kinds of reports. In all fairness though, I need to tell you that the number is surprisingly low.

Luminesce uses human stem cells!

Jeunesse Global claims that it corrects the skin with a serum that contains adult stem cells that promote anti-aging. They also claim that a recent study confirms the validity of Luminesce.

However, there is no link to the study and all I could find was this short statement.

is jeunesse global a scam

OK, it doesn't say much, actually nothing, about the use of human stem cells. It simply confirms what a lot of people complain about. Personally, I would like to know how human cell stems are being used and how the stuff was tested. Too bad, they can't provide this information.

Not many distributors making money

Well, my friends, that's the nature of the beast. It's a well known fact that only about 3% of distributors make it into the top levels of an MLM pyramid. And that's where the big bucks are made.

Obviously, one reason why so many distributors in MLMs fail is that many people simply lack what it takes to build and maintain a strong down line team. Jeunesse even makes it harder for their independent partners by severely restricting the ways how they can conduct their business.

For example, they are not allowed to advertise on social media like Facebook, Twitter, Google +, or on their own website and are being forced to use pre-designed webpages on the Jeunesse network.

So, is Jeunesse Global a Scam

I cannot call it a scam. They sell over priced products which seem to be equal with those of their competition and seem to avoid most of the common ‘MLM BADS‘ that give network marketing its bad reputation. That most of their distributors make little or no money is normal and there is nothing anyone could do to change that.

Disturbing however is the fact that a great number of successful distributors quit. That makes it clear to me that not all is ‘peachy‘ with Jeunesse Global.

I hope you liked my Jeunesse Global Review and would love to hear your opinion. Please, chime in below and let us know what's on your mind.

Your Alternative to MLM and Jeneusse Global

Let me ask you another question, if you don't mind. Are you looking for a way to make real money online and be your own boss? If so, I can show you how I started many moons ago and make a comfortable livable income in Affiliate Marketing.

I don't know if its something that will appeal to you. But at the very least take a look into My #1 FREE Work At Home Recommendation to determine if this might be what you are looking for. I cannot tell you that Wealthy Affiliate is the right thing for you, but I can tell you that it is absolutely risk free to take a ‘look see‘ on the inside of this really wonderful program.

That's about all for today. Like always, thanks for stopping by

  1. Hi Eddy I am a distributor with Jeunesse Global. I normally don’t write in to public forums, but I would very much like to explain what seperates the Luminese products from any of the competitors. First of all I will start off by saying the Luminese products do not have stem cells in them. The stem cell technology in the bottle is from the growth factors derived from healthy adult human stem cells. If you aren’t familiar with growth factors. A growth factor is a naturally occurring substance capable of stimulating cellular growth, proliferation, healing, and cellular differentiation. The process to get these stem cells and create the growth factors is actually a complicated process. Scientists use a specialized needle and extract fat cells as well as stem cells from the body’s fat layer. The next step is they take the stem cells an fat cells and put them in a centrifuge to separate the stem cells from the fat cells. They then take the stem cells and put them in a pitri dish and give them food and nutrients for 30 days to expand and grow. During that 30 day process over 200 growth factors are created and that is what is added to the Luminese serum. I certainly hope this helps give you a better understanding of how the stem cell technology works. P.S. other companies will say they use stem cell technology but almost all of them use plant or fruit stem cells. I also have a video that shows a complete breakdown as to how the process works if you like feel to contact me.

    • Hey Tyler, thanks for sharing more details about the process and such. I’m not a scientist or physician so I can not really comment on the process and why it makes it better. But I still have concerns about the other complaints I laid out. So it still wouldn’t be right for me. But it may be for others. Either way I appreciate you chiming in with more details.

  2. Hi Eddy (with a “y”)
Thank you for your ongoing comments and suggestions about home businesses. The problem with all of these markets are that they are dependent on selling overpriced consumable products that you can buy cheaper at the local stores. You need to spend monthly quotas to get your commissions if you ever see one. I finally found something that works! You save money on your gas and electric, no cost, no contract, no hassle. Just sign up using your bill.
You also make good jumpstart money and residual income. We ask, who do you know that uses gas and electric, who do you know who wants to save money on their gas and electric. The longer we are with this company (Ambit Energy) the more we love it.

    • Hey Carolyn,

You’re very welcome. I totally agree with you about most of these MLMs. I do see a lot of people promoting these energy opportunities and the premise makes more sense to me because it’s something you have to use and will use.
But you know I’ll dig deeper to discover the flip side of those opportunities as well. So I’ll look into your company. Thanks for not just dumping your link in the comment. I appreciate that!

  3. A person was given two different perfumes to try on
One was a $7.80 perfume and the other was a $215
perfume. When asked which smelled the best the
person pointed out the expensive perfume. But
was shocked when told the cheap perfume was in
the expensive bottle. Thank you Eddy.

  4. This is a good one. I don’t trust any product from an MLM unless it’s a durable good. Maybe not then. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are only trace amounts of stem cells in that stuff, or possibly none at all. People have been selling herbal supplements with no herb and OTC human growth hormone with no human growth hormone (customers might be better off getting the fake) for a many years now.

I’ve read about amazing things they’ve done with stem cells for stuff like Alzheimer’s Disease and burn tissue, but not as a beauty product. I would stay far, far away from this company.

  5. Sounds way too expensive to bother getting involved with; I can;’t think of anyone I know who could afford these products! As always, an informative, interesting, and thoughtful article by Eddy. Thanks, Eddy!

    • Hey Diane,

Thanks for chiming in. Yeah they definitely have a pricey start up cost. Clearly there are people that can afford this stuff and fancy bags and shoes. So there is always a market even if we don’t see it for ourselves or people around us. That said it doesn’t mean it’s right for us as you pointed out. Thanks for the continued support. I appreciate it!

  6. As far as I’m concern these products don’t work and they only work for a certain length of time and who in their right mind would pay so much for products that only may work for a period of a week and that is so much money to put out for people unless you are a millionaire but even then if the person is smart they wouldn’t even do it. I think all of these kind of advertisement are scams and they just want your money.

  7. Hi there Eddy, almost $2.50 for one pill is plain nuts if you can get similar stuff for 20 cents from Amazon. And i don’t buy the ‘stem cell’stuff to begin with. I read somewhere that the human stem cells come from fat. Wonder where they get that from. Don’t want to know though. Good review like always

    • It’s all about knowledge. Nike sneakers cost no where near the hundreds of dollars they cost. But people are still willing to buy them. So the cost is always up for debate with most products. I’m more concerned if it actually works. Either way I guess time will tell how this company plays out. Thanks for your comments!
