What We Like About Harris Poll Online

Earn Points Even When Disqualified

Unlike other survey companies where you have to throw the dice to earn survey points, Harris Poll Online is different. If you do not qualify for a survey, you still earn 15 Hitpoints and an entry to their Hitstakes draw. So your time isn't totally wasted.

Business Reputation

The company has been around for close to half a century. Harris Poll Online is a good platform if you have time to go Dutch on topics you like example Sports or Politics and earn electronic gift cards or merchandise in return. However, if you are looking to make real online income from home doing the same thing, you can check out Swagbucks.com or Fusioncash.com.

More Usability Options

Alongside surveys, Harris Poll Online also enables its users to join focus groups, complete direct mail assignments and even telephone surveys. You get to earn Hitpoints redeemable for gift cards and merchandise doing all these; just not real cash. If you're all about the dollar dollar bill then you might want check out My Top Work At Home Recommendation instead.

Harris Poll Online Complaints

Well, here's the part of the review you've been patiently waiting for. Harris Poll Online looks good on paper so far because of their long history. But it's not all sweet. There are some things that may give you pause.

Where's My Rewards?

A good number of users complained of difficulty while claiming their rewards. They will require you to verify your identity first before honoring their end of the deal. A slight mismatch of the details you present could disqualify you altogether. Alternatively, you will have to jump through hoops just to get your hard-earned $20 Amazon Gift Card, for example.

Poor Customer Service

Almost every negative consumer review, we came across mentioned a problem with their customer care. Your calls might go unanswered or emails blind-eyed, especially if you are a returning complainant.

BBB Rating

At the time of writing this review, the Better Business Bureau rates Harris Poll Online a C-, which may be a red flag for people that rely on these ratings to determine the legitimacy of a company.

Not Worth Your Time

You might have to spend hours on the website going through surveys and opinion polls and still not accumulate enough points to make any decent money. Sometimes the surveys take too long and if you happen to rush through them, you run the risk of your account getting cancelled.

No Standard Reward System

    Money Making Tip

People think that making money online means chasing down an elusive job or peddling crap to your friends & family that they don't need. That's just a recipe for losing patience & people that you like. Let's stop all that BS, there is a better way...

This Tip Box Was Proudly Built With Thrive Content Builder

Users across the board complained of a non-standard reward system. There is also no certainty that the item will be available at the time you acquire enough points to redeem it.

    No Cash Payouts

The terms of payment make it clear that there is no cash reward system. Let's face it, gift cards are cute, but cash can be used everywhere and can pay your bills.

Only Available in the U.S.A and Canada

The company might pride itself as international, but opinions do not come from all over the world, only the United States, its territories and Canada.

Is Harris Poll Online Legit or A Scam?

Harris Poll Online seems to be the real deal. You can legitimately earn gift cards and such.

But let’s face it, spending hours online for gift cards and merchandise won't help you pay bills. Harris Poll Online is best suited for people with hours to kill online and can settle for rewards like gift cards instead of real cash.

If you're looking to make real money where you have the flexibility to spend it as you will, My Best Work At Home Recommendation is probably a better option for you. You may also want to check out Swagbucks.com and Fusioncash.com which provide you cash as well and you're not limited to taking surveys to earn money with them.

Well, there you have it. As always, this is my opinion about Harris Poll Online. Feel free to pitch in yours below; we would love to know what you think!

    Until next time

I have tried repeatedly to get them to send me my password and they never respond. Not worth the effort.

Interesting review on Harris Poll. I was reading somewhere else about this thing the other day, but your review I find to be the most in depth and explains the most as far as the ins and outs go and if its a legit source of income as far as making money online goes. Thanks for taking the time to write up on it.

Harris Poll Online does seem legit, but I wonder how much effort it takes to make enough to get any kind of return, in the form of electronic gift cards? I have found that companies like this require a LOT of work for little in return. Which doesn’t make it a scam necessarily, just too much work in my book for the little in what I would get in return.

I hear ya. I just feel my time is better spent elsewhere. But I can see how this is useful for certain people depending on their situation and needs.

    Hi Eddy

This is a very informative post! I have never heard of Harris Poll Online but cannot say that the “no cash” offer appeals either. I have tried numerous of these but found that they are not worth my while as they pay pennies. I appreciate your forthright honesty in this review when it comes to depicting the downfalls of such programs.

Never heard of Harris Poll before and not too keen on the gift card payment method, I like a real cash payout so I’m not tied to the company who has insured the gift card.

Well, thanks for highlighting other companies like swagbucks that pay cash but their pay is pathetic.

The fact that these survey companies ask qualifying questions before you can sit through a survey and earn peanuts is just weird. Some even ask if you are an MD of a company, if you own a company car etc. Now how many MDs have time to sit through a survey to earn 20cents?
    Thanks for your post Eddy.

Thanks for your insight. I personally don’t think surveys are worth my time because I make money other ways. But it might be worth it for others. Pay is subjective and it’s why companies like swwgbucks have been around so long because thousands of their users feel it’s worth it. So it all depends on your situation. To each their own either way.

Hi, Eddy. i’m really surprised (and disappointed) that a company with a brand like Harris only gets a C- from the Better Business Bureau. It sounds like it can work for someone as a hobby looking for gift cards, but I have to agree with you and steer clear of them. Seems like a lot of hassle just to get your gift card. Thanks for the info.

      Hey Warren,

Thanks for chiming in. I would take the BBB rating with a grain of salt. I never use it as a be and end all of deciding whether a company is legit or not. But in terms of this opportunity being a big money maker, It’s definitely not that.
