It seems like nowadays everyone has an opinion on everything. Quite frankly, it can be annoying. Just because you have an opinion, it doesn't mean you need to express it. But there are companies that love hearing your views and are willing to pay you for them. Chances are you have gone through a couple of e-Rewards reviews, but you're are not sure if it's the real deal or not.
Well, we finally have an answer to the question if it's a scam or not, and I would strongly suggest you read this review before doing any surveys from them.
What is E-Rewards?
e-Rewards found at eRewards.com is an opinion gathering middleman company that is employed by different companies to get people like you and me to share our views about products or services via online surveys. E-Rewards has been around since 1999 and it's a subsidiary of Research Now Group, a market research company based in Plano, Texas. Principal Vice President Steve Duncan assumes management of the company.
How Does E-Rewards Work?
The website claims to have partnered with companies seeking information from people like you and I about their products and services. On the off chance you get an invitation to become a ”partner”, they will send you a link to join with your log in information to your membership area. From there you can select a survey when available. If you qualify to take the survey all you have to do is complete the survey and earn Opinion Points. You can then redeem your points for available rewards.
How Do I Sign Up for E-Rewards?
Unfortunately, joining e-Rewards is by invite only. Sigh…
How Does E-Rewards Invite Program Work?
Since it's an invite-only website, the companies you buy products from might contact you by email with an opportunity to take a paid survey through the e-Rewards website. If they contact you, all you have to do is follow prompts on your way to the members' area of the website.
If you're not a fan of this whole invite only nonsense, then you can get started right away at sites like Swagbucks.com or Fusioncash.com. You can also get started at My Best Work At Home Recommendation if you are serious about making real money online.
How Much Money Can I Make With E-Rewards?
There's simply no telling how much you can earn through e-Rewards. Moreover, to redeem your first reward, you will need a minimum $60 in your account. The 60 bucks is equivalent to a $25 gift card, which means every dollar you earn translates to 41 cents in real cash.
How Does E-Rewards Pay You?
You can redeem your points for gift cards, magazine subscriptions, airline tickets or even hotel discounts. Be that as it may, there's no PayPal or Check option with e-Rewards.

E-Rewards Complaints
I'm sure by now, you've probably read some things in this review that have turned you off. I can't blame you. But wait there is more issues with e-Rewards that may give you pause. We've gone ahead and broke them down below.
Joining is by Invite Only
Well, that was strike 1 right off the bat for me. As already mentioned, if you just want to get started right away with this company, tough luck. Unfortunately the only way to join is if you get an invite and Lord knows when that can happen if at all.
The Better Business Bureau Doesn't Mess With Them
The only BBB entry associated with e-Rewards is that of their parent company. According to the BBB the complaints concerning e-Rewards closing down accounts or denying members access to their points had prompted the BBB to pull down the company's BBB accreditation. Could this mean the company is running a scam? Let's hold that thought for now.
They delete accounts out of the blue
Apparently there are hundreds of complaints that the company had closed down accounts with no notification or warning whatsoever. So you have to jump through hoops to join and if you're lucky enough to get in, you may get the boot without warning. Nah, I'm good.

They don't pay cash
The only way to redeem whatever you earn is gift cards, hotel discounts or magazine subscriptions among other lousy ”rewards”. No PayPal, Checks or Direct Deposit. Really?
Their payout system is deceiving
In reality, 60 bucks translate to a $25 gift card. So that means the value I will see for the survey is much less than indicated. Users actually got to know about this scam right after they reach the $60 minimum.
Is E-Rewards Legitimate?
As far as I know, It used to be as legit as they come. However, as of July 2017 when the BBB took action against the company, it seems that it should be avoided. If they close accounts for no reason, lie to us about the minimum payout amount, have their BBB accreditation pulled down and don't pay people through Check or even PayPal, those are more than enough red flags as far as I'm concerned. But that's just my opinion. You do you.
All in all, I would definitely advise you against taking a chance with e-Rewards. If you are looking for some alternative legit ways to earn, then check out Swagbucks.com or Fusioncash.com. I have not had a problem with eRewards until the last month. I notice that now when I try to access my account so that I can redeem points, the web page will immediately go to white. Whatever I try to do, I cannot access my account. I have tried to contact eRewards, but no response.
I read your reviews and saw a number of disappointed participants with eRewards that had been with them for years doing surveys and then suddenly suspended with no warning and advice as well as rewards suspended. This just happened to me. I had been with eRewards doing surveys faithfully for about 7 years. I noticed a month or so that I hadn’t got a survey email from them for awhile, so I contacted them. In a few days I got an email saying that my account was suspended and I no longer could participate nor redeem my rewards. No specific reason and despite asking to discuss the matter with someone, no calls. I suspect that since I had quite a bank of rewards, since I didn’t really redeem very often, it might have been an opportunity to not pay out. Since no interest in discussing this with me, and no transparency, I have no idea.

I’ve been an erewards member for years and haven’t had any issues. Then this winter I had my first issue. They locked my account because they said that I didn’t answer honestly—isn’t it my opinion? Anyways, they opened my account again after further investigating. Well, this past Monday they locked it again same reason. I’m in the fight to get it open again and then I’m going to just try cashing out—then here lies the issue—I have 1800 erewards dollars so I can’t cash out.
Oh yeah, I’m involved with a survey for the past 4 plus months which I have some high tech equipment. Needless to say I wrote that company and explained my issue, but I haven’t heard back from either of them. I guess I’ll just keep the equipment as my payment.
I’m frustrated
Sorry to hear this. Hopefully they do right by you. But these type of experiences are why I decided to move away from doing surveys and being my own business owner. More control.
My girlfriend was invited shortly after me. She’s been temporarily banned twice but over the last two years we have redeemed 20 free hotel nights courtesy of choice hotels (no limit redemption).
We have been dating 5 years and I now have almost enough airline miles for a full southwest flight round trip for 2 to new york with a 5 night Cambria hotel stay in times square where I will propose. To me its well worth the bullshit.

E-rewards is a total scam. Stay away. They suck you in, then as you build up a account they shut it down. No contact, you can’t get into your account. All your time and work is completely GONE.

I see your comment was submitted about 20 months ago. How is it working for you now?
Like many others, I’d done surveys for years. Many times I didn’t get credited properly and had to fight for the compensation I later rec’d on some of those. Then I log in to redeem some rewards (I’d racked up hundreds) and got a message my account was closed due to inactivity – I’d used it 3 days before! After contacting customer service I was told she would unlock my account if I provided my birthday and address. I did so then was told my account was suspended permanently due to them suspecting I didn’t answer the surveys accurately!! I’ve requested phone number to speak with someone but so far nada!!
That sucks. This is one of the many reasons why I don’t spend a lot of time on survey sites. They make you jump through hoops and you don’t always get credited. I’m so thankful I make money running my own business now.
I currently have an E-Rewards account, I was invited by Gamestop recently. There are some survey that close too early, but personally It’s a rare occurrence for me so far. I haven’t been on that long and I’m already up to $38.00 in e-rewards currency. With each survey ranging from $1 to 5$ and some change and up, plus any partial amounts they pay if you don’t qualify being around 25 cents it’s kind of easy to rack up.

I have been with e-rewards a few years and it is very frustrating! The surveys suspend or close too quickly. I receive an email at 10:00 and by 10:01.01 it is closed. WTF? Too many times when I click the survey link it tells me the session is suspended or unavailable. When I contacted e-rewards about the issue, most recently 5/4/2018. I was told to use a different browser. IE is suspended; Firefox is suspended; and Chrome (e-rewards specifically mentioned this one) is suspended. So the offer is unavailable due to the constant technical difficulties of the site.
