Although MLMs are not high on my list of preferered work at home opportunities, I am always drawn into writing reviews about them. So many of them pop up regularly that I feel compelled to research them so you don't end up stepping in some crap that can be expensive or make you lose your friends.
The last couple of months or so, I reviewed some of the MLMs in the dieting and body care industry and noticed that ALL of them claim to have the Superior Products and provide the BEST business opportunity. I have no problems with those that base their claims on ‘all natural ingredients‘, like Young Living Essential Oils, but some others give me the creeps with their dubious and, in my opinion bizarre secret formulas (LifeVantage – Protadim Nrf2 Activator) or advanced scientific methods (Jeunesse – Stem Cell Growth with Cow Fat).
Well today, let's see where the 4Life Transfer Factor opportunity falls.
What is 4Life and the Transfer Factor?
4Life was founded in 1998 by David and Bianca Lisonbee with the launch of the company's flagship immune system support product, 4Life Transfer Factor ?. The Headquarter is located in Sandy Utah, and the company maintains corporate offices in about 30 countries around the world.
Their products are based on “Vital Immune Knowledge” described as follows:
“While vitamins and herbs provide nutrition to the immune system, transfer factors provide information so immune cells can do their jobs faster and more effectively. Research over the years has revealed that transfer factor molecules are abundant in nature. Through a patented filtration process, 4Life extracts transfer factors from cow colostrum and chicken egg yolks for the foundation of its Transferceutical™ products”.

How Much Do 4Life Products Cost?
There is nothing out of the ordinary with this kind of stuff. They are damn PRICEY, if you ask me! I don't know about you, but I am very hesitant to shell out $30 bucks for Shampoo and Conditioner, or over $60 bucks for 50 pills I don't know if they work or not. Not that I would ever need Shampoo or Conditioner. lol
Are 4Life Products Any Good?
I don't know because I have not tried any myself. 4Life products are available at Amazon and there are a ton of user reviews that speak very highly of the products.
I read over a hundred and could find just 3 from folks saying that they experienced no difference. All others are from people literally enthused by the products. Of course, I take these with a grain of salt, knowing that some of these reviews are written by 4Life distributors.
But the sheer numbers of good write-ups like these shown above make me believe that the products do indeed work as promised.
What Is The 4Life Business Opportunity?
Well, it is a typical MLM. Although 4Life emphasizes that you can make good money with direct sales (pay whole sale and sell for retail), the bare naked truth is that you need to recruit folks into the network of distributors in order to earn real money. If you ever tried MLM, you know how difficult it is to build and maintain a down line of like minded people, thinking like you, and stay active, not only in direct selling but also recruiting.
The 4Life compensation plan, known as the Life Rewards Plan, has a uni-level structure. This means that all of the new distributors that a team leader recruits are placed, and remain, on their top line. 4Life specifically notes that a leader needs, at minimum, four lines, which are active and growing in order to achieve long-term success.
What Are The 4Life Complaints?
As I mentioned earlier, there are hardly any negative comments or reviews about the products, which is a good thing. So I'm basically grasping at straws here. But here are two complaints in my mind.
How Active Are You?
In order to remain “active” and qualify for bonuses and your share of the commission pool, you need to take out a standing monthly order, worth 100 LP's or about $130, on products for YOURSELF. What if you, your wife and kids don't want to use the product any longer? You better be able to sell it retail. But in my mind that defeats the purpose of recruiting. I should still be able to make money off my recruits even if I don't need the products for a given month or so. This must be our stuff every month requirement has always turned me off about MLMs. I can totally appreciate the need to know the product. But why should I be forced to buy it every month so I can qualify for commissions. I'll tell you why. It's because they need the money to pay my upline I suspect.
Cannot Make Real Profit!
It is undeniable that the majority of 4Life distributors never make any substantial money, but that is a well known symptom with all MLM companies. It all depends on how you, as independent distributor, market the product and go about building your business. It does take solid marketing knowledge, a specific business plan, determination, and a strong work ethic to become successful. Most distributors lack these requirements, and will make no profit at all and lose some money, some will make enough to cover their expenses and keep on trying. Only very few will make it into the 3% group that make a full time, livable income.
Is 4Life A Pyramid Scheme & A Scam?
The company did have some run-ins with the FDA for noncompliance in regards to health claims benefits of their products, made by some of their distributors (see warning letter). An FTC investigation into damning complaints, mainly from former distributors, that 4Life runs an illegal pyramid scheme, cleared 4Life of these accusations. 4Life is a legit direct sales and Multi Level Marketing Company, and there is no scam.
Let me answer the question ” What Is 4Life Transfer Factor – Science Fiction or Real“? The method of Transfer Factor seemed like science fiction and kind of far fetched to me, but after researching this issue, I start to believe that there is indeed some benefits using colostrum to boost the immune system. Only the future can tell if it really works.
