If you're anything like me you probably spend way too much time on your smartphone and feel guilty about it. But what if I told you can get paid for using your smartphone? You probably already know this and that's why you're going through several AppBounty reviews to determine if it's just a waste of time or the real deal.
Well, we have the truth about the app, and unfortunately it's not always pretty. So I would strongly suggest you read this shocking AppBounty review. You've been warned!
What is AppBounty?
AppBounty found online at AppBounty.net is an app that claims to pay people to download and test other apps. AppBounty is a subsidiary of German-based startup Advertile Mobile, founded by tech entrepreneur Jens Disselhoff in 2012. They are headquartered in Poststrabe, Berlin, Germany.
How Does AppBounty Work?
Once you have the app installed on your phone they claim you can start earning credit for downloading other apps. To earn credit, you'll go to the Offers tab within the app and find apps that reward you. Once you download the app and open it on your phone AppBounty will give you credits. Then you can redeem these credits for available rewards.
Did you know you can also get paid to download apps on sites like InboxDollars.com, Swagbucks.com and FusionCash.com? Well, now you know.
How Much Money Can I Make With AppBounty?
There are two ways you can make money with AppBounty; downloading other apps and referring others. You'll earn a little over 100 credits for each app you download, and 250 credits for every user you refer. Your referral will also earn 50 points for joining through you. At the time of this review, a $5 Amazon Gift Card is equal to 2500 credits. So how much you can make with AppBounty really depends on how many apps are available for download and how many people you can refer.
How Does AppBounty App Pay You?
You can only redeem your credits for the Gift Cards made available to you at the time of asking. Looks like the rewards you get depends on the country you're in, because AppBounty is currently available in 15 countries. Either way, at this time you can redeem your credits for iTunes Gift Cards, Amazon Gift Cards, Xbox Live Points and PS Network Points.
When Does AppBounty Pay You?
The sooner you bang out 2,500 credits worth of downloaded apps, the sooner you get paid. But according to users iit can take months to earn your first $5 gift card just by downloading apps. Others say the fastest way of making money with AppBounty is harassing friends and family to use your referral code while joining.
That said, if you don't like the idea of earning very little money for a lot of effort, don't worry. You can make real money working part time or full time using My Best Work At Home Recommendation.
How Do I Get Started With AppBounty?
To get started, you'll first download the app either on Google Play or Apple Store. Once you have the app installed and you're all set up you can start exploring your options of making money.
AppBounty App Complaints
If you're anything like me and just hate scams, then this is the part of the review you ought to read. We found some dirt on the AppBounty app which we think might help you decide whether the app is worthwhile or a waste of time.
No BBB Profile
If you live and die by a Better Business Bureau rating, then this app is just not for you. They are not listed with the BBB at the time of writing this review so maybe that's a deal breaker to you.
Fortunately there are other companies that have a positive BBB rating. You may want to look into sites like InboxDollars.com, Swagbucks.com, SurveyJunkie.com and FusionCash.com where you can also get paid for what you already do online like visit websites, read emails, watch videos and other tasks. But if you want a real work at home opportunity that will pay the bills, check out My Best Work At Home Recommendation.
Where's My Reward?
Some users say they did what was required to earn the credits but never got rewarded. You cannot contact customer service or the app's admins on phone, so it's hard following up on payment issues. Some complaints we found on the app's user reviews section suggest a good number of users found it hard to redeem their credits, once they met the threshold.
Don't quit your day job
People say the points quickly dry up as it becomes harder by the day to get new apps that actually credit you for downloading them. So don't expect to make enough money to quit your day job, just occasional gift cards here and there.
I Prefer Real Cash
Unlike apps like SwagBucks.com, FusionCash.com and InboxDollars.com that pay you real money to download apps, or SurveyJunkie.com that pays you to take surveys, AppBounty won't pay you money, just gift cards and points. Perhaps you can later sell these gift cards on sites we've reviewed before like CardPool and CardCash, but people out there prefer real cash to redeemable credit.
Is AppBounty Legit or A Scam?
AppBounty does not seem to be into anything shady, so I wouldn't exactly call it a scam. It's a nice way of earning gift cards, and it's clear people do get paid. But some users found it hard redeeming their points.
So with that said, it's always good to look at other options as well. You can make real money, not just gift cards and points, downloading apps and doing what you already do online like watching videos, reading emails, playing games and more at sites like SwagBucks.com, FusionCash.com, InboxDollars.com. But if that's not what you're looking for and would prefer earning a living online, then you may want to check out My Best Work At Home Recommendation.
