We live in a world where our lives revolve around technology and our smartphones. I bet you spend a good portion of your day on your smartphone. But did you know your smartphone can actually make you money? I’m guessing you were already aware of this, which is why you are reading AppKarma reviews to see if this is the real deal.
Well, we did the research and dug up some shady things that you will want to read in our AppKarma review. So be sure you read it until the very end, so you avoid the possibility of being scammed.
What is AppKarma?
AppKarma.io is another one of these popular apps that pay you for downloading and using other apps. They also have an active referral program, and a special referral program for popular YouTubers and social media influencers. You can earn cash or redeem points for gift cards with popular retailers. Founded in 2013 by Andrew Lin, AppKarma is owned and operated by the same company that makes CashKarma.io, an app that rewards you for taking surveys.
How does AppKarma work?
With AppKarma, you download the app and create an account. Within the app, there is a list of offers. Each one shows you the app, the amount of points that are being offered, and what you have to do to earn the rewards.
Generally speaking, AppKarma will ask you to download a different app and use it until you have achieved a certain threshold. Then you can log back into AppKarma and see the points you earned from the other app.
You can also earn points by referring other users, watching videos in the app, completing quizzes, and other small tasks.
The amount of points offered for these tasks varies widely and based on each task. If you don’t like the idea of earning points and gift cards as opposed to real cash, there are other alternatives out there. Did you know you can also get paid real cash to download apps on sites like InboxDollars.com, Swagbucks.com, and FusionCash.com? Well, now you know.
How much money can you make with AppKarma?
As mentioned previously, you earn points for downloading apps. You would need about 5000-6000 points to earn a $5 gift card. To earn cash, you would need 12,500 points. Every app and level has varying points you can earn, but you can expect anywhere between 1000 to 5000 points for downloading an app and reaching a certain level on the app.
You earn more by redeeming your AppKarma points for gift cards than for cash via PayPal. You can get rewards cards for Steam, iTunes, Amazon, Starbucks, and other popular retailers.
Some apps are eligible for an ongoing reward program called Karma Plays. For those apps, keeping them on your phone and interacting with them for 4 minutes every day can earn extra points.
Based on these figures above, this doesn't seem like an income source you can rely on for consistent high earnings. If you don't like the idea of putting in a lot of effort for very little money, don't worry. You can make real money working part-time or full-time using Wealthy Affiliate.
If you just want to make some side income, you may also want to explore other alternatives like Inboxdollars.com, SurveyJunkie.com, Swagbucks.com, and Fusioncash.com.
More Ways To Earn More Money With AppKarma
You’re not limited to just downloading and using apps to make money with AppKarma. They provide other ways to boost your earnings which are as follows:
A referral program: where you earn 30% of what your referrals earn. In this way, you accrue AppKarma points without even trying.
YouTube Videos: For YouTubers and influencers who get 1000 views or more every week, they qualify for a VIP referral program where they earn 50% of what their referrals earn, and are eligible for bonuses as well.
What we like about AppKarma
There are a few things we like about this app, so let’s check out some of those.
Cashout bonus
When you cash out your karma points with AppKarma, you automatically get 5% of your points balance re-added to your account. It's a bit of a head start toward your next reward.
Fun apps
Many of the apps included in AppKarma are popular, fun games like Fishdom, Disney Heroes, and some deal apps like Swagbucks.com. However, these apps cannot have been previously installed on your device in order for you to earn AppKarma points with them.
AppKarma Complaints
Now that we have looked at we what we like, let’s get into some of the red flags we found. No one wants bad Karma!
Rewards don't always accrue correctly
It's really important to read every offer completely. You typically need to do more than just download and use an app. But you may also need to create an account, play a game to level 10 for instance, use all the basic functions, or similar tasks. The AppKarma system gets notified by the app when you have met the criteria for points, and this automated system can get buggy.
The most frequent complaint about AppKarma is rewards that aren't awarded properly, either because the user misunderstood the requirements, or because the app failed to record it correctly. To protect yourself, always take a screenshot of the offer before you install any app.
You can't have ever installed an app before
For people who use their phone a lot, or who participate in a lot of reward apps, it may be a problem that you can only earn AppKarma points for apps you have never installed before.
Takes a long time to earn rewards
In most countries, you need 6000 AppKarma points to cash out a $5 gift card, and over 12,000 points to cash out with PayPal. With most of the offers, it takes a long time to reach the reward threshold, like the 10th level of a game. In other words, it can take at least a couple of hours a day to earn $5 a week with AppKarma. This is a case of too much time for too little reward.
Geographic Limitations
Most AppKarma partners only target their offers to people in the US, UK, and Germany. People who live in other locations may have far fewer opportunities to make money with the app. Fortunately I have an international work at home page here you can check out.
AppKarma Alternatives
If anything you read rubbed you the wrong way, don't fret. There are other options. If you spend time online doing things like shopping and downloading apps, you can get paid for it by using free sites like Swagbucks.com, Fusioncash.com, and Inboxdollars.com. If you like sharing your opinions, you could try a site like SurveyJunkie.com. So those are all possible alternatives to AppKarma.
However, if you're looking for a business opportunity that will allow you to actually pay the bills each month, check out My Best Work At Home Recommendation.
Is AppKarma legit or a scam?
AppKarma is not a scam and does pay rewards as promised. However, it's a time-consuming way to earn small amounts of money.
If you like downloading and playing with apps, trying new games, answering quizzes, and watching videos on your phone, you could also try sites like InboxDollars.com, SwagBucks.com,and FusionCash.com. You can make real money with these sites, not just by earning points and gift cards.
But if you are not looking to do small tasks online and would prefer a consistent income opportunity, then you may want to check out My Best Work At Home Recommendation. There is absolutely no risk on your part since you can get started for free.
