Dollar Surveys Hacks and tips

Always use the same email address

Make sure you use the same PayPal email address for the offers you complete on the site, as well as the individual surveys/offers that they direct you to. If you don't, and the email address you use is seen as invalid to them, you won't get credit for completed surveys. In other words, you won't be paid.

If you change your email address let them know

Things happen and sometimes it's necessary to change your email account. If you do, make sure you inform Dollar Surveys of the change and link your new email address to your PayPal account, so that you can be paid.

Register for one account only

It might be tempting to use more than one account to do this but don't take surveys using more than one account. Dollar Surveys can detect this, and as a result, you won't be paid. Hey, just keep it simple.

Dollar Survey Complaints and Concerns

So far this may all sounds sweet. But if you've read this blog long enough you already know that every company has some negative aspects. Unfortunately Dollar Surveys isn't immune to this epidemic. As we started to dig deeper we found several complaints against Dollar Survey that you should know about. Ultimately you'll have to decide if they're deal breakers for you or not.

Man, this feels like a maze

I've got to go through all these surveys, just to find one that I qualify for. What gives? The thing with surveys is that it all depends on what the company is looking for. That means you still have to qualify for the survey. If you're not what they are looking for, then that's it for you. So much for self-service.

Where's my money?

I have completed at least 7 surveys but I haven't seen any credit for them. They keep telling me I'll be paid for them, but it's been a few months since. Hey, continue at your own risk, I'd say.

Can't reach cash out level

As we mentioned earlier you need $30 to cash out. But a strange thing has happened to some members. All of sudden as they get close to the cash out threshold they no longer have surveys. Is it a coincidence? Possibly.

Fortunately you won't have to worry about that at sites like SurveyJunkie.com, SwagBucks.com, InboxDollars.com and FusionCash.com.

You said you'd process my payment within 7 days

Some people have complained that they've requested a payment nearly a month ago and still haven't received a payment. What happened to that week processing you mentioned?

Please do not contact us!

Seems like the people at Dollar Surveys do not want to be bothered at all. Here's how they handle requests. “For account issues, payment problems, or anything else – please use our FAQ section. We will NOT respond to requests that are already answered in our FAQ section.” This is probably why users feel as if they have no support and why they don't get a response to their emails.

Is Dollar Surveys Legitimate or Not?

That's something that you might have to decide for yourself. Some people report making some money but for some, it's just a big bag of frustration they can do without. Maybe their demographics just do not fit with what the client is looking for. Hey, who knows? But if you want to spend your free time dealing with this sort of frustration, then by all means give it a try. You just might be a lucky one.

At the end of the day, there are better, more rewarding websites like SurveyJunkie.com, Swagbucks.com, FusionCash.com and InboxDollars.com that pay way better where you're not limited to surveys only. And if you really want to take your income to the next level like a full time or part time income, you'll want to check out My Top Work At Home Recommendation and my Work At Home Courses. With multiple streams of income, you can earn way more than any survey.

Okay, so that's it from me. I've said my piece, now it's up to you to make your decision. As always, thanks for reading and feel free to let me know what you think about this.

Until next time,

  1. I do surveys all the time. Surveyjunkie.com is legitimate. As soon as you reach $10 you can cash out. Sometimes, I have reached the 10 in one day. Jobs2shop.com is legitimate but you eventually run out of sites to sign up on. I made 75 dollars in 4 months but now have been stuck at 11 for 2 months. They do have a sister site called Bestmark, that is mystery shopping. I have made money with them.

  2. I honestly don’t see the point of these survey sites anymore.
It’s like they milk you for information to help whoever their clients are but they treat customers like opinion dispensing robots.
The scary thing is that this is actually of the higher paying survey sites. Others use their own weird currency that, in the end, amounts to peanuts.
Does a legit survey site exist?

  3. Hey thank you for the information on Dollar Survey. You know its very difficult to find a survey site that pays well and is not a scam.

I have never been lucky with surveys. Most of them turn out to be scams or a waste of time. I feel dollars survey still pays low to make any meaningful earnings.

I think I will take a look at your number one recommendation. It sound good and a better option.

  4. I personally have tried a few of these sites thinking that it might be an easy way to make an extra few hundred at home without putting too much effort into it. But once you spend all the time filling out your personal information to see if you qualify for the survey, and then (if you qualify) actually do the survey, you’ve just invested about 45 min of your time!

It’s great that this site offers a $1 per survey and some may only take 10 min to do, but when you look at the math of it all, it’s totally not worth it. Even if you can do 6 10 min surveys an hour – that’s only $6/hr!!! Pretty sure you can work ANYWHERE for more than that!! lol

I’m glad that you’ve included some of the complaints that people have had with this company because those are all great things to consider before joining and spending your time on a survey. To find out that you may never reach the payout threshold, or they will never answer your questions and concerns is something that would scare me off right away.

I hope a lot of people read this review before considering wasting their time on yet another “make money easy” survey site!!

    Great post!

  5. Hi Eddy,

So you’re telling me with this dollar surveys site, that they pay you just 1 measly dollar no matter if the survey takes 5 or 30 minutes? Equal payout?

Geez, even though I think survey taking is not something that any rationale person should consider as full-time employment, at least a few other sites that I am aware of pays a person commiserate with the amount of time it takes for him/her to complete a survey. Less cash if it takes 10 minutes, more if it takes 30+ minutes.

As you have mentioned before in other reviews at your great site the problem with participating in surveys is that a person may spend up to 10 minutes completing the initial questions being asked. Suddenly because he/she does not fit the demographic profile to which the survey had been originally intended for, the individual suddenly is disqualified. With that he/she earns a big fat $0 for time spent that will never be recovered again.

At least these sites can throw the disqualified person a bone or something.

It’s why I feel that although most sites of this nature are not outright scams if you consider the situation where a person gets ripped-off from his/her original investment involved with some type of get-rich-quick scheme online business opportunity, however many survey sites aren’t exactly 100% legit either! They lie about the amount of $ a person can make doing surveys because they have dozens upon dozens of new ones being offered daily to anyone willing to spend the time completing them.

And, as I said above previously certain no way to make a living if you’re the head of a household with 4 mouths to feed!
