Well, in this Purium review we will cover the ins and outs of this opportunity. We will help you determine if this is a good opportunity for you or not. So don’t end up making a mistake by not reading this shocking review.

What is Purium?

Purium.com specializes in organic superfoods, promoted through a network of Brand Partners. The company was founded in 1992, by David Sandoval and Amy Venner-Hamdi. It is a subsidiary of California-based Organic by Nature, which produces Purium brand products.

Purium Product Line

Purium sells detox cleansing products, weight loss, and fitness products, and several other health supplements. They specialize in supplements that are organic, vegan, and gluten-free. Most of their products contain the types of ingredients that you would expect, like wheat germ, aloe vera, barley grass, and the like.

They are most famous for their 10-day Transformation Cleansing product, which has been widely discussed and reviewed online by medical professionals and beauty experts. They also offer the Biome Medic supplement, designed to improve digestive health, and a popular vegan amino acid supplement.

How much does it cost to be a Purium Brand Partner?

There are two levels of brand partnerships with Purium:

  • Basic Pack: costs $49 one-time fee, which includes access to digital marketing and training materials
  • Launch Pack: is free if you purchase $500 worth of Purium products, $99 when you purchase $250 worth of products, or $199 with no product purchase.

 The Launch Pack includes:

◦ Access to marketing and training materials

◦ 1 year of the Purium business management app

◦ the Green Foods Bible by company founder David Sandoval

◦ A BPA-free shaker bottle

◦ Unlimited $50 gift cards for 1 year which you can use to recruit other people

◦ 15 European gift cards

Launch Pack partners also immediately qualify for some compensation bonuses, where Basic partners need to first meet QV targets to qualify.

Seems like you get quite a few items with the launch packs, but you will be required to pay an upfront fee. If you are reluctant to spend so much upfront, fortunately, there are ways to make money online where you can get started for FREE with sites like Wealthy Affiliate, SurveyJunkie.com, and Fusioncash.com.

Purium Compensation Plan

The Purium Compensation Plan provides a few ways how brand partners can earn commission. The compensation plan is very detailed but here are the basic ways brand partners can make money at the time of this review:

  • 20% commission on customer purchases, less gift cards, shipping, and tax
  • 5% commission on team performance, up to 4 levels
  • 25% first order bonus for brand partner product purchases
  • Bonuses of $50 for every $1000 in customer purchases
  • Bonuses for enrolling new brand partners, with a personal payout and $20 generational payout for infinite levels
  • Achievement bonuses for the brand partner and their enroller every time the partner goes up a level
  • Brand partners are also invited to company retreats and vacations, and high-level partners attend these events with all expenses paid

Purium pays some compensation and bonuses weekly, and some are paid monthly.

If you read the compensation plan and you are feeling confused, I don’t blame you! Most MLMs have very complicated compensation plans. Fortunately, there are business opportunities with a straight forward compensation such as Wealthy Affiliate. You don’t need to read through several pages of confusing commission structures.

There are also other ways to make money with straight forward compensation with free sites like SurveyJunkie.com and Fusioncash.com

When inactive affiliates are removed from the calculation, Associates earned an average of $539 for that year. What We Like About Purium

Let’s have a look at some of the things we think are positive traits of Purium.

Good BBB Rating

If you are someone who looks at these types of ratings, you will be happy to know they have an A+ BBB rating at the time of writing this review.

Gift Cards to Recruit

The strategy of recruiting new brand partners by giving them a $50 gift card is very clever and not a lot of MLMs have incentives you can offer when recruiting. Most people like gift cards, so it's a great conversation opener and offsets the high price of the product. Plus, when someone buys a product, uses the gift card you gave them, you also earn a commission on that.

Purium Complaints

No business is perfect, so let’s dive into some of the red flags we found, and you can decide if these are deal breakers or not.

Keep Your Day Job!

If you carefully read their income disclosure statement, you will notice that 89.11% of their brand partners earned less than $100 for the year.

Based on those figures, this may not be a business opportunity that will earn you a decent amount of money. Many people who start businesses fail, so this might not be a reflection on Purium but having other alternatives might be worth exploring.

Either way, if you want to explore additional options you may want to check out My Best Work At Home Recommendation and it’s FREE to get started so you have nothing to lose really. If you are looking to make some side income, you can try other alternatives like SurveyJunkie.com and Fusioncash.com.

Expensive products

While the high cost of Purium products may actually appeal to some consumers, implying high quality, most people expect to see medical research or scientific benefits. Particularly when they are asked to buy a product that is 2-3 times more expensive than identical products from other brands. Some products can cost over $400 which many people are not able to afford. Getting people to buy these products may be tricky, especially if they can get it cheaper somewhere else.

Negative Amazon Reviews

Unfortunately, for products this expensive, their online reviews aren't that good. Most Purium products have about a 3-star review on Amazon. Since brand partners issue gift cards and then allow customers to buy the product from online retailers, these negative reviews are visible to potential customers.

Is Purium Legit or Scam?

Purium isn't a scam and they have been in the industry for quite a few years. There are elements that you may like, such as the gift cards for recruiting purposes and the good BBB rating.

However, this opportunity may not be right for you. The products are priced very high which is possibly why 89.11% of brand partners only managed to make less than $100 for the year.

Fortunately, there are some home-based businesses like My Best Work At Home Recommendation which will teach you how to sell any products in any niche. So, you won’t be tied down by selling expensive health products.

So, there you have my opinion on Purium. If you have any more questions, feel free to read their blog. If you have any experience using Purium or want to share your thoughts, please leave a comment below.

Until next time,
