Every time I think about working out, an excuse to skip it always pops up. Well these excuses are dwindling by the day, especially when I realized there's someone willing to pay me to do so. If you're here, you're maybe wondering if the SweatCoin app can actually pay you to walk. It's probably why you're going through some SweatCoin reviews.
Well, we have the good, the bad and the ugly in this SweatCoin review. So, without further ado, let's get cracking, shall we?
What is SweatCoin?
SweatCoin found online at www.sweatco.in is an app that claims to pay you for your movement. SweatCo LTD. was co-founded by digital entrepreneurs Anton Derlyatka, Egor Khmelev and Oleg Fomenko on January 31, 2015 and is currently headquartered in London, UK.
How Does SweatCoin Work?
In a nutshell, the app is designed to register your movement and convert the miles into SweatCoins and eventually cash or merchandise. At the time of this review, 1,000 steps equal 0.95 SweatCoins. So once you download the app on to your iPhone/Android or wearable (Apple watch), the app uses your device's accelerometer and GPS to track and verify your outdoor movement.
It will then convert the distance into SweatCoins. Once you've accumulated a certain amount of SweatCoins you can cash out for a reward of your choice. These rewards could be cash via PayPal, an iPhone, TV, or even high-end shoes, etc. It all depends on what's being offered at the time.
So with SweatCoin you have to move to earn. But did you know you can make money doing what you already do online like watching videos, visiting websites, taking surveys and more at sites like SurveyJunkie.com, SwagBucks.com, InboxDollars.com and FusionCash.com? Well, now you do. But if you prefer making real money working part time or full time online, check out My Top Work At Home Recommendation.
How Much Money Can I Make With SweatCoin?
At the time of writing this review, it's not clear how much one SweatCoin is worth in real currency, but simple math may help. Immediately our team signed up there was an offer of $1000 cash which was equivalent to 20,000 SweatCoins. So that translates to 20 SweatCoins on the dollar at the time we signed up.
But it seems the value of your SweatCoins will be determined at the time of redemption. And that depends on when you cash out, the current market situation and what's on offer. So needless to say it will vary.
By the way, they use some sort of tech to verify that you're actually moving using your feet.
SweatCoin Account Plans
When you first sign up for sweatcoin, you're automatically enrolled into a “Mover” account which is free. But you're limited to 5 SweatCoins per day, or 150 SweatCoins per month. But they have paid plans as well. Here's what paid plans get you:
- Shaker – Costs 4.75 SweatCoins per month, earn up to 10 SweatCoins per day or 300 per month.
- Quaker – Costs 20 SweatCoins per month, earn up to 15 SweatCoins per day or 450 per month.
- Breaker – Costs 30 SweatCoins per month, earn up to 20 SweatCoins per day or 600 per month.
So obviously paid plans are designed to earn you more.
Well you don't have to pay anything to make money doing things that you already do online such as watching videos, visiting websites, sharing your opinion and more at SwagBucks.com, InboxDollars.com or FusionCash.com.
You can also make money taking surveys at SurveyJunkie.com as well. But if you want to make a full time or part time income from home instead of a few bucks here and there, check out My Top Work At Home Recommendation.
How Do I Get Started with SweatCoin?
Joining is free for ages 13 and older. All you need to do is download the app on your iPhone, Apple watch or an Android 4.4 or newer. You'll then need to verify your phone number, email and a password. Once everything's set you can log in whenever you're on the move and start racking up those SweatCoins.
When and How Does SweatCoin Pay You?
How you get paid depends on them – but when? That's on you. You can check what's on offer at any time and if you have enough SweatCoins, knock yourself out. You can cash out via PayPal or go for available merchandise that is available at that time. They have TVs, swanky shoes and outfits, iPhones, Apple watches, paid holidays, dinners and such.
What We Like About SweatCoin
It's simple to use
Perhaps the one thing they got right with SweatCoin is its simplicity. The interface is user-friendly and the SweatCoins generate pretty accurately. People actually say it's way easier to use compared to similar apps like Charity Miles, Bount and Higi, to mention but a few.
On paper making money walking sounds like the easiest way to make money I've heard of so far. But we all know when it comes to making money, there are always some red flags to concern. So here are a few snags about SweatCoin you should probably know about.
“But I Just Charged My Phone?!”
So with SweatCoin, you'll have to keep the app running for it to register your movement. Users say the app drains your battery life quicker than you can say Usain Bolt.
Not BBB Listed
For those of you who consider the Better Business Bureau your knight in shining armor against scams, well you won't find SweatCoin there.
Few Reward Options
Users say SweatCoin could use a little more variety with what they choose to give out as rewards. Others say they'll beat the drum for amazing offers when you're running your ass off, then the offers disappear once you have enough SweatCoins saved up.
Is SweatCoin Legit?
From what we can tell SweatCoin is not a scam. They keep it simple; make money walking. But you may want to carry your power bank for your smartphone since it can drain your battery pretty fast. But all in all, it's a nice way to make money for walking.
If you don't like anything you've just read, don't worry. You can make money doing what you already do online like visiting websites and watching videos at InboxDollars.com, SwagBucks.com and FusionCash.com, or even taking surveys at SurveyJunkie.com. But if you want to start making real money online working part time or full time, check out My Best Work At Home Recommendation.
