Tellwut ScamIf you've my read my reviews long enough, you already know I like to tell it like it is for better or worst. You may not always like my views on companies but that's life. Like belly buttons we all have opinions and like belly buttons most of the time they may not be useful. LOL But Tellwut.com seems to feel differently and wants to hear yours and pay you for it. But is it like every other paid survey company out there? Well let's find out, shall we?

Who is TellWut Surveys?

TellWut Corporation is a Canadian company that started TellWut Surveys around May 2010. The “Wut” in TellWut stands for “What U Think”. Kinda catchy, huh lol. TellWut Surveys wants to know “what u think” about products and services that you use. So they rolled out an online community which of course needs member feedback participation. Members are rewarded by earning points for taking surveys, creating polls, and referring friends. TellWut Surveys is open to both US and Canadian residents. At the time of this review BBB rates them with an A-.

How does TellWut Surveys work?

The following are ways to earn points with the TellWut Surveys program:

  1. Sign up free on TellWut.com with a valid email address because it will need to be verified.
  2. Create your account = 100 reward points
  3. Provide specific user account information (shipping address, etc) = receive up to 200 instant reward points
  4. Refer a friend = 25 reward points
  5. Answer a survey = 5 to 15 reward points
  6. Create an approved public survey = 10 to 20 reward points
  7. Answer a business survey = 10 reward points and up

This may or may not be accurate by the time you read this.

When and how does TellWut Surveys pay?

At the time of this review, TellWut requires a minimum of 4,000 points to cash-out, which is equivalent to $10. Cashed out points can be redeemed in the following ways:

  • Gift cards* (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, AMC Cinemas, Starbucks, WalMart, Target, Home Depot, Tango, various restaurants, etc)
  • Visa pre-paid cards
  • Movie vouchers
  • Retail e-vouchers
  • Misc merchandise

*Some gift cards are mailed, others are e-mailed in the form of e-vouchers.

TellWut Surveys Hacks, Tips, or Tricks

Refer-a-Friend Affiliate Program: For each verified account (friend, family member) that you refer, TellWut will reward you 25 points. Use your referral link and start racking up some referral points! We all have family and friends that like to “spit their wad” in terms of talking, bragging, or complaining about products and service experiences they've had. So why not invite these folks on over to TellWut Surveys. Do them and and yourself a big favor by getting rewarded! But even if your family and friends aren't interested I've managed to make thousands referring people to free companies like this following the techniques I teach here.

TellWut Surveys Complaints

Like all reviews that I do, there's always the dreaded complaints section lol. My TellWut review is no exception to the rule. Although quite a few members are raving about them, there are those who live on the OTHER side of the fence where the grass is not as green. With that being said, here we go …

Show me the money!

There is NO cash reward option. Say whaaaaaaat??! Are you serious? Yes, that's right, TellWut Surveys offers NO cash reward option. So you may as well be prepared to enjoy the gift cards, e-vouchers, pre-paid cards, etc., cause you ain't gonna get any cash. Yeah, I know … we all love the green stuff but for whatever reason, TellWut just didn't include it as a reward option.

Fortunately you can make $100-$200 here:

Needs a mobile site

Navigating TellWut's full site as per a pc is just fine. But trying to use the full site via mobile device is a different story. Too slow! Poor user experience. It's 2015, high time to get the site optimized for your mobile users, please!

Forever and a day …

Members are spittin' all kinds of praise in reference to TellWut surveys: “Great customer service!”, “Highly recommended!”, “Best in the business!”, “Great program!”, “Love this site!” while others are complaining about the length of time it takes to reach the 4,000 ($10) cash-out threshold. A member commented that it took what seemed like forever to cash-out, about a year to be exact. Waiting 365 days for $10 does indeed seem like an eternity lol. But like all opportunities this will be dependent on how active you are and if you can get referrals which is much easier following what I teach here.

Too many disqualifications

Getting almost to the end of a survey only to be told you are disqualified is so damned annoying. Having that experience with many surveys can make ya wanna say to hell with the whole program! I'm done, finished, it's a wrap, no more, etc. No doubt that members left and right have canceled for that very reason. It would be awesome if every online survey program offered what MintVine Surveys does … a reward for each disqualification. But unfortunately, that's not the case. If companies like PaidViewPoint, FusionCash & ICS can always reward you a little something for disqualified surveys, then TellWut should be able to figure this out too.

Three's a crowd!

Too many dang third party surveys. Survey takers like to focus on the survey subject at hand, not random surveys about joining another survey site. C'mon now, stay focused on my opinions about the products and services that I use. Don't waste my time on survey “commercials” unless you want me to get up, take a bathroom break, and grab a snack LOL

TellWut Surveys Alternative

Now that you've read the complaints against Tellwut, maybe you're not feeling them. Fortunately there are other options that you may want to consider if you're looking to make some REAL money long term without jumping through the hoops of surveys or being disqualified. If that's you, then be sure to check out My #1 Free Work At Home Recommendation by clicking here! I've used this great company to help me make thousands of dollars per month so I can spend more time with my family and provide me the freedom I want. So if that's something you desire, it may be worth looking into. I'll be the first to admit it's not easy or quick. You'll need to work and have patience. But the pay off is great for those that do.

Is TellWut a scam?

Nope, not according to my research, etc. TellWut is pleasing a lot of members on a regular basis. Although they do not offer a cash reward, they are still doin' the damn thang in terms of keeping their online community happy. I hope this review will be helpful for you in making a decision to try TellWut. If not, I totally get it since surveys aren't everyone's cup of tea. So with that said, I would encourage you to look into my Work At Home Courses here. They may provide you a different option that is better suited to your needs.

Either way, I want to hear your thoughts on this company so be sure to leave your comments down below. I know people have a love hate relationship with surveys. So your feedback is always appreciated! 😉

I look forward to reading your comments down below.

  1. I have actually been with this company before and although it is easy, it takes far too long to cash out. It literally took me a year to cash out the first time. When your only source of income is the work you do at home, you need a site that pays cash and one that you can cash out with fairly often and this one is not it.

  2. Hey Eddy,

Always nice to hear from you. Not so interested in this one due to not paying cash as some of the other surveys do. I already belong to quite a few so think I will pass on this one.

  3. Yeah, you’re right. Too many details and no $$ whatsoever . We old schoolers don’t fly with that. Sounds good for the young ones that never put down their Ipads and all of them
goodies does appeal to their generation but us old schoolers have killed for lesser things. Oh yes we have. Thank you Eddy with a y. The world needs more honest business men like you.

    • Thanks for chiming in George. The lack of a real cash out option is a no no for me. The other options are cool and I would use them. But in most cases I prefer cash so I can use as I please to purchase new gadgets or pay a bill. lol So I hear ya.
      Thanks again!
