Back in the day when I was starting out, I used to manage my online business single-handedly including writing content for my blogs, following up on emails and so on. But as I got ahead of the game I needed to free up my time to focus on what I love doing. So I hired a Virtual Assistant to help me grow even further. Of course, several other businesses also realize the potential of hiring virtual talent, and companies like Virtalent help businesses find these workers. If you’re here you’re probably reading Virtalent Reviews to determine whether they are any good or not.
Well, we did the legwork so you don’t have to and we have everything you need to know about the company in this Virtalent Review. What we found out may surprise you so don’t even think of joining the company before knowing the truth.
About Virtalent.com
Virtalent.com is a virtual assistance service company and website based in the UK that offers highly skilled and experienced VA services to businesses and clients. The company was founded by internet entrepreneurs Sam Wilson and Ellie Bekalo in 2014 and has since gained prominence especially in the UK. They’re currently headquartered at Charles House, 148-149 Gt Charles Street, Birmingham, B3 3HT.
How Does Virtalent Work?
Unlike crowdsourcing sites like Upwork and Freelancer.com, Virtalent has its own team of Virtual Assistants recruited exclusively by them. So if you’re a business or client looking for Virtual Assistance services, Virtalent connects you with an ideal VA that best suits your needs.
You’ll start by booking a free, 30-minute consultation with a Virtalent representative where you specify exactly what you need and can discuss tasks, requirements, billing and so on. Virtalent will then match you with the talent they feel you need. You can then speak with the matched VA directly, to make sure you both “click” before taking out an account. If you’re happy, it takes just a few minutes to create an account online and begin working together.
Virtalent VAs are seasoned native English speakers based in the UK. They have prior experience working for companies such as BBC, Nike, IBM, MTV, KPMG and institutions such as the London School of Business and Finance.
They work remotely and have the tools they need to deliver their services. So as a client you won’t be able to meet them one-on-one but you can organize video calls if you want to put a face to the name.

What We Like About Virtalent
They’re Trusted – One thing that really stands out about Virtalent is their client portfolio. As mentioned earlier, they have worked with some pretty well-established companies and clients including Countrywide, Mills and Reeve and Marco Pierre White’s restaurant chain. They’ve also appeared in national press, such as The Sunday Times, The Sunday Mail, BQ and This Is Money.
No Amateurs – Because of Virtalent stringent requirements, a small business will receive the best of the best in terms of virtual assistants. The fact that only 2% of applicants have a chance of getting in demonstrates they’ve set the bar pretty high for the applicants they hire.
Virtalent Complaints
No company is perfect, and Virtalent is no exception. So if you don’t want to take any chances, the next section is definitely for you.
Why Didn’t My Application Go Through?
The only complaint we came across about Virtalent during research is that they’re pretty vague at explaining why you didn’t make the cut. But with a 2% applicant success rate, that comes as no surprise. You’ll need to be a well-established professional and they’ve set up systems to assist them to prove that. But it’s great they reveal all this upfront.
Virtalent Alternatives
There are very few Virtual Assistant companies like Virtalent in the UK, but there are of course companies that offer more or less the same services. Feel free to check out our list of the best Virtual Assistant jobs available worldwide here.
Is Virtalent Safe or A Scam?
Virtalent is definitely not a scam. They may be an exclusive club of highly experienced professionals, but that’s just how the company is designed which is great for business owners that want to hire quality virtual assistants.
