Survey Money Machines ScamAnother day and another company claiming you can make some ridiculous money taking surveys online. If you've read my blog in the past you already know that these type of claims are fluffier than the Easter Bunny's tail. In other words they're full of BS. But feel free to read my Survey Money Machine Review down below where I dig into this a bit deeper.

What is Survey Money Machines?

Survey Money Machines is a another website that claims to help you make a boat load of money taking surveys. It was created by a “Hailey Gates” in 2005. Hailey is a allegedly a stay at home mom who claims to have made a ton of money just by doing surveys online in her spare time! So she created her website to help others do the same. There's a shocker! Not!

When you go to her website, you are asked to create an account to start. However, you aren't actually taking surveys on this website. It's just a middleman that allegedly connects you to over 200 market research companies that you sign up for individually where you'll be taking the paid surveys. If you want to make money directly with a company without having to create multiple accounts elsewhere, consider FusionCash.com and Swagbucks.com.

How Much Does it Cost?

If you're anything like me you are already skeptical and wondering how much does all this cost? Well surprisingly it's totally FREE, for the most part. (We'll get into this more in the complaint section.) In either case you make money by completing surveys at all the survey sites she lists. And clearly Miss Hailey makes money by referring you to these websites which is why she doesn't charge you. On paper it seems like a win win so far. You're probably thinking with access to so many survey sites at your fingertips, you should be able to make quite a bit of money, right? We'll see.

How Do You Sign Up?

Well you just visit her website: www.surveymoneymachines.com. There just need to complete a short form where you enter your basic information to log in. Then once you're logged in, you need sign up for each of the 200+ survey sites and they send you surveys as they are available. Sounds pretty easy so far, right? It always does, but keep reading.

How Much Money Can You Make?

According to Gates, you can start off making around two to five dollars a survey depending on the survey site. Once you have done several low paying surveys, though, you will be sent the higher paying ones and can make up to fifty dollars a survey. So hypothetically, you could make a good chunk of change! Of course, each survey site is different. Some claim you can make up to a thousand dollars a month just by working in your spare time. The other sites are more honest and tell you up front that you won't be able to replace your full time job completing surveys. The latter is more accurate which brings me to the heart of this review.

Survey Money Machines Complaints

So as you're reading this review you may think this all sound sweet at first glance. But my research team doesn't fall for the okie doke. We dig deeper and there are a LOT of complaints against Survey Money Machines. We've only highlighted just a few of them, but it may be enough to give you pause. So let's dive into them.

1. I hope you like Spam & not the mystery meat.

If you hate logging into your email and finding it full of spam and junk, then you probably should NOT sign up with this survey site. Many of the survey sites you sign up with are notorious for sending out a ton of unwanted spam emails. Granted some of these emails may be survey invitations but most are just advertisements which you agree to by joining these sites. This is actually the main complaint against the company. Most people who have tried it said that they probably would have kept using these survey sites if they had not been bombarded with the junk mail. If you want to avoid being spammed but want to make money online, then consider FusionCash.com and Swagbucks.com.

2. You Ain't Quitting Your Day Job!

The next most common complaint is all about the money. Yes, you will get paid. No, it will not be as much as you thought it should be and no, it will not reach you in the time promised. A lot of the sites have a minimum amount that you have to reach before you can request a pay out. Most of these sites have a ridiculously high pay out. For example, I looked at one and the pay out amount was $150. That doesn't sound too bad at first, but then you find out how long it will take to reach $150. Sorry to burst your bubble if you thought that you can make hundreds of dollars a week doing surveys, but you can't. It's just not realistic. Also, once you request a pay out, a few people said that it took forever for them to receive their money.

3. Tick, Tock

Another complaint that we encountered a lot is how time consuming the surveys are. Look we all know if you want to make real money in life, you have to put in the time. That is completely understandable. But with surveys you can end up spending tons of time and be paid less than minimum wage. Clearly this is a little ridiculous especially if you're looking to this opportunity to replace or supplement your income. For most your time can be better invested.

4. Poor BBB Rating

Survey Money Machines received an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, BBB. For some of you the BBB is like God's word when it comes to deciding if a company is a scam or not. So that poor rating may be a deal breaker for you. I personally take the word of the BBB with a grain of salt because of what I've written here in my BBB (Better Business Bureau ) Work At Home article. But this is one time I agree with them because of the other complaints I've already listed. If you want to work with companies that have a good BBB rating you may want to look into FusionCash.com and Swagbucks.com.

5. I thought these companies pay me

Most of the survey companies the owner lists on Survey Money Machine are free. But there are some websites that she will connect you to do require a credit card. If they do not require a credit card, then a lot of them claim you can make the most money by completing offers. Most of these offers are not free! You have to purchase something before you get paid. For most people that's not how surveys work so that's a no no.

So Is Survey Money Machine Actually Legit?

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend joining this website. It is hard to call this company an outright scam when it is free, so they aren't trying to scam you out of any money. But I can not call it legitimate when the complaints outweigh the positive feedback. So again I personally wouldn't add this site to my short list of recommendations. If you're curious on what opportunities I would recommend, I would highly suggest that you look into my My Top Free Work At Home Recommendation and my popular Work At Home Courses. Combining these two options can really help you produce Multiple Streams of Income which is how I've been able to make a full time income online.
