Mother Nature's Shrink

Hi again,

I just want to say thanks for the well wishes last week. Apparently it worked. I feel a lot better and it seems like my whole family is over their cold as well.

Today I want to leave you with the following quote:

"If you don't think every day is a great day try going without one."
– Jim Evans

I thought that quote was very powerful and why I've decided to share it with you today as well as with my facebook fans earlier this week. Too often we get caught up in all the things we don't have or how other people may have wronged us, etc. But sometimes you need to de-clutter your life and keep it in perspective which is what this quote is about. Yes, life isn't fair and crappy stuff happens. But at the end of the day you have the gift of life. That means every day you breath the air on this earth, it's an opportunity to improve your situation. That is something very powerful we take for granted regularly in the hustle and bustle of our problems. So sit back and really think about the quote. It should give you a whole new perspective and hopefully a fresh start regardless of whatever you may be going through. Because sometimes living another day to fight on is half the battle.

Let it marinate and I'll talk to you next week. Enjoy the leads below as well.

  1. Hi Eddy,

In regards to that cold. Twice this year I started to get one and took Pure Tahitian Noni, 1 oz, mixed with 1 oz of original morning and evening for 3 days, then all signs of the cold was gone! Thought I’d share as I hate colds so that excites me! Glad you’re feeling better!

  2. Eddy,

Great message. It’s so easy to forget that life and it’s interesting moments happen to all people, not just one person. It’s hard to get a good picture of it when a person is wearing their “me googles”, kind of like beer googles, only the focus is on self instead of making everything look better. Me goggles make islands of personal isolation out of every challange and serves to give a reason for feeling bad about everything. The best solution: take off the me goggles and spend some time with some folks who are struggling too. It’s an eye opening experience and an amazing reality check sometimes.
Life hands us challanges, what we do and how we respond is a great report card on where we are at in the growth process.
Problems are only problems when that’s all that a person can see. They become challanges with the oportunity to show us what we can do and in some cases they show us how much more we are than we have ever thought possible.

  3. Very well said, Eddy. What is it with you, it seems you say what I need to hear just at the right time.
I joined Wealthy Affiliate U., and boy am I excited!!!
So far it has been a little overwhelming, but not as much so as I had feared.
Makes me want to grab a pint of Ben&Jerry’s in celebration. 😉
    Bit that’s another story.

    • LadyDi,

Thanks! Apparently I seem to have that knack with certain people. lol
Glad to hear you’ve decided to take a chance and start on this new venture. Hopefully WA helps you as much as it helps me. Slow down on that Ben&Jerry though. lol
